Crying for Help.

Melanie's POV

Are you okay? I heard Adryan ask repeatedly despite my efforts to hide my energy drain.

Yes Froggy. For the billionth time, I'm okay.

I think you should go back home. The metro line isn't female friendly, Adryan said as we walked forward.

Are you calling me weak? I stopped walking and asked glaringly. Do you know who I am?

Who are you Melanie Aiire? Adryan asked as he grabbed my waist and lifted me up like a feather.

Okay enough jokes Adryan put me down, I said inbetween fits of laughter.

I'll tell you who you are, Adryan said as he dropped me gently. You're Melanie Aiire, the most ravishing and stunning female I have ever seen.

Shut up Noir, I said even though my cheeks burned a crimson red. I'm not going anywhere until we find Melissa.

Adryan's POV.

I got a text from Daren.

"Reinforcements on the way," Adryan read out loud, showing Melanie the text from Daren. "And it seems he has a lead on why Skylar was taken." Melanie's eyes narrowed.

"What is it?" she asked, her mind already racing with possibilities. He shook his head. "He didn't say, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough."

Daren who had been tracking them finally caught up. "I've got their scent" Daren said his voice low and steady as he scanned the terrains with his wolf vision. "Follow me"

They trusted Daren's expertise and followed him through the dense forest, their senses heightened as they navigated the treacherous terrain. And then, they heard it a battle cry echoing through the trees as more werewolf forces surrounded them.

...and the fight began

Adryan's POV

"We have to act fast," Daren emphasized, his eyes scanning the forest surroundings. "Alonzo won't hesitate to kill Skylar if it means maintaining his own power."

Melanie's eyes flashed with determination. "We can't let that happen. We have to protect Melissa and Skylar and ensure he takes his rightful place as Alpha."

Adryan nodded in agreement, his body beginning to shift and contort as he transformed into his 3rd wolf form, Fenrir, the wolf of chaos. His black fur grew longer and darker, his red and black eyes burning with an inner fire.

Melanie transformed beside him, her body morphing into that of an Empusa, one of the daughters of Hecate. Her hair blazed with flames, her eyes burning with an inner intensity of cloudy white. Her skin turned a ghostly white, and her legs transformed into that of a donkey and that of pure bronze, strong and sturdy.

Together, we charged forward, our new forms radiating power and strength. The wolves attacking them let out a collective growl, taken aback by their sudden transformation. Empusa unleashed whips of silvery flames as she lashed at the wolves ,scorching and sending them yelping back.

Melanie's POV

Fenrir, Adryan's wolf form, let out a mighty roar, and the ground shook beneath our feet. The battle was intense, our powers clashing with the wolves' ferocity. But we fought with a fierce determination, strength driving us forward.

Just when we thought we were gaining the upper hand, another wave of wolves attacked, pinning us down. But then, the reinforcements arrived, a group of skilled warriors, who fought with precision and skill.

As the dust settled, we stood victorious, our chests heaving with exhaustion. "Thanks for the timely arrival," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

Took you long enough,Daren said, his expression grim. "We're not out of this yet. We still have to find Skylar and stop Alonzo before it's too late.

Melissa's POV:

I cast a protective spell around Skylar, shielding him from harm as I transported him to safety. But I knew I couldn't leave Alonzo unchecked. He had to be stopped. I turned to face him, my powers raging like a storm. We clashed in a fierce battle, our magic and strength evenly matched. But I refused to back down. I had to protect Skylar and the pack.

As we fought, I could feel Alonzo's desperation growing. He knew he was losing, and his anger and fear fueled his attacks. But I was determined to emerge victorious. Finally, I pinned him down, my hands grasping his throat. I was about to deliver the final blow when I saw it - Alonzo's hand thrusting a dagger into my chest.

I felt a searing pain as the blade pierced my skin. My vision began to blur, and I felt my strength fading. Skylar's form, still recovering from his ordeal, began to fade from my sight.

"No!" , my child.

And then, everything went black.

Skylar's POV

I was still recovering from my ordeal when I saw Melissa, her eyes fixed on me with a fierce determination. She had saved me from Alonzo's clutches, but now she was in danger.

As I watched in horror, Alonzo stabbed her in the chest. Her eyes widened in shock, and her body began to crumple. I tried to move, to reach out to her, but my body was still too weak.

"Issa, no!" I screamed, my voice hoarse from my earlier struggles. "Don't leave me!" But it was too late. Melissa's body slumped to the ground, her eyes frozen in a permanent stare. I felt a pain in my heart, a grief and anger that threatened to consume me.
