SHE'S NOT THE ONE

"Who are you, Angela?" Christian asked her after he had relaxed back on the bench. Angela laughed slightly "Really? That's how you'll ask me? Try saying something like 'can I get to know you?' I'll consider if I should tell you" She said. Christian chuckled a little bit "You were the one who just asked me why I've never asked about you, and now you want to consider telling me?" He asked her and she smiled at him before looking away.

"I am Angela and I'll help you get through the process of healing" She answered him and Christian laughed, for real. Angela looked at him and did not understand how a person could look so fine when they do something genuine. Christian turned to her and caught her staring, then he looked away. "Healing? What made you think I needed healing at all? I don't need healing. I'm perfectly fine" He told her, but in a way, he was trying to tell himself also and Angela could see right through his façade. "You know the truth Christian. Don't deny it. I'll help you get there" She smiled at him. Christian stared at her deeply before nodding and turning away.

They both walked back to the main house while engaging in small talks "Why though?" Angela asked and Christian looked at her in confusion "What?" He asked and she clarified "Why is the gym house separate from the house? No, that's not the right question. How big is the land you own in this area?" She asked him and he chuckled

"I own the whole area."

"What?" She was surprised "What do you mean by the whole area?" She asked to be sure and he helped to clarify "Do you remember the gate you came in through yesterday?" He asked her and she nodded in remembrance "Yeah? we came in through a gate. I found it weird that_" She stopped walking once she realized what he meant. She looked at him with her mouth wide open "That was exactly when I fell asleep, and I know very well that it took a while before you woke me up" she said in amazement.

"How big is this place?" She asked as she continued walking and he did also "Maybe I'll take you for a real tour myself. Let's try to avoid what took place that day. By the way, I'm sorry about what happened" He apologized on Bianca's behalf and Angela shook her head "I'm actually very fine with it. Putting myself in her shoes, I totally understand her. The woman loves you, she might be the one"

"She's not the one" He said like he was definitely sure that she really was not the one. Angela looked at him "What makes you think so?" She asked and he seemed to really think about it before he replied "She does love me, and I know that. But the thing is, I cannot find myself loving her back. I mean, I've tried, but it never works out. From the beginning, I only saw her as a survival partner and then, we grew to friends, and now... This" He said referring to their current relationship, because he did not know where exactly they stood in their relationship.

"Apart from that, I've never really seen her as any other person. Accepting her would mean hurting her more later and making her hate me, and I don't want to do that". Angela tried saying something but he cut her off "Yes, she is already hurting and me saying she would hate me might be an exaggeration, but dating her and her finding out later on that I just pitied her would hurt her even more. So her hurting a little bit is safer" He smiled and Angela slowly agreed with it.

"By the way," Angela looked at him smiling "You said sorry again now. You must be getting used to this". Christian looked at her as well "Just so you know, I'm only saying it cause of you. No one would ever get this privilege. Keep that in mind."

They got to the main house and they both went their separate ways. Christian took the left stair case taking the elevator to the fourth floor where his room was. He opened up the door to his room and saw Bianca kneeling on his bed.
