Heading to the mountains

When we came out of the room, my grandfather looked at me with a very strange look and asked, "How did you get him to talk to you like that?"

With a bitter smile, I said, "I have no idea either. I was just able to see these fairy like creatures with my eyes and then he thought that I was the same as him, so he talked to me like I was his friend."

After a pause, I said, "I think…that he's quite lonely."

My grandfather knitted his brows slightly when he heard this, but he didn't say anything in the end.

The only response that he gave was a sigh.

There was a look in his eyes that made it clear that he knew what I was talking about, but there was another story that I didn't know about.

In the end, he said with another sigh, "I hope that you will keep talking to him."

I was surprised to hear this, but I gave a nod in response.

I didn't know what it was about Thoth, but there was something that drew me to him in the end.
