In the beggining.....

Chapter 1

A man wearing a full black suit was sitting inside an office room, with furniture, a table, desk, chair, and electronics in the room indicating that it was an office.

The only difference between this one and the normal ones was that it was black. Completely black.

The floor, the carpet which was indiscernible from the floor, the furniture, and even the chair the man was sitting on were black.

The light from the computer screen was the only thing that was not black. The only way to see inside the room was the light illuminating the room through the glass walls through which a city full of skyscrapers could be seen.

Suddenly a screen appeared in front of the man through which a voice could be heard.

[Good morning, Sir.]

[Would you like to read the report of today's agendas?]

The man stopped writing on the computer screen on which a title could be read as 'the adventures of the regressed hero'.

"Sure. Might as well get this over with." The man said in a disinterested tone showing that he was not very enthusiastic about whatever the voice from the screen had to say.

[Very well, Sir.]

[The details of the Siddharth enterprises' investigations have arrived.]

[Would you like to view it?]

"Let the vice chairman handle it. Next." He dismissed any sort of discussion on the matter.

[The Chinese government has contacted us for reserve fuel projects.]

[Would you like me to arrange a meeting with the Chinese minister of foreign affairs?]

"No! I like the details of the project. You handle the rest and make sure there are no complications." The man dismissed an issue again. He was again, showing his disinterest.

[Very well, Sir.]

[Moving on to the next one, a breach has formed between two fragments.]

The man finally paid attention. "And how is this not on the top of the priority list?" asked the man.

[Your instructions, Sir.]

"Really? I don't remember such instructions." The man said shifting the blame. "Anyway, status."

[The breach is a connection between a grade four and a grade three.]

"And how long has the breach been active for?" asked the man.

[Two hours and forty-seven minutes.]

"And the grade three is still there? It's not devoured by now?" the man asked with an unbelieving notion. "Which one is it?" he asked again.

[Fragment SE-4]

"SE-4. If I remember correctly, it was the one with those clever guys, what were their name again, a yes 'Dawrians'." The man said after remembering some details.

[Correct sir.]

"So, they managed to defend against a grade four. Impressive. It's nice to see those I left in charge doing good. The blessing was definitely not wasted on them." Said the man clearly impressed.

[Not quite sir.]

"What do you mean?" asked the man in return.

[The breach connecting to grade four is on Earth of grade 3]

"Humans? Then how did they manage to survive? What's the technological advancement currently there?" Asked the man stumped on the newly revealed information.

[Current technological advancements are in the information age.]

[However, in the current time of grade three Earth, it was invaded by Dawrians, and while managing to defend themselves against them, even now in war, they picked up a few technologies of Dawrians and skills which allowed them to become super humans themselves, which helped them greatly in resisting the invasion of grade four.]

"If they are holding themselves then what is the issue here?" questioned the man for the discussion of this issue at all.

[Because the invasion is still in the early stages.]

"That makes sense." Said the man in understanding. "But there is nothing we can do about it. Not directly at least. Not without the destruction of the fragment."

[Would you like me to search for a candidate sir?]

"Yeah, do that. That can be the extent of our support." Said the man and turned his attention to the computer screen again. Only to be interrupted by the voice again.

[A suitable candidate has been found.]

[Would you like to read the report?]

"No, I trust your judgment." The man wasn't interested in the least. But for the first time, the voice didn't heed the order.

[I suggest that you check this sir. There is some interesting development here.]

The word 'interesting' managed to get the attention of the man again. He knew that his trusted companion would not have disturbed him otherwise.

The screen in front of his eyes changed to a report with a male face and a few details regarding him.

"A hybrid. That's interesting." He said but once he read the next line he was stumped again.

"How is this possible? How did he survive?" Asked the man from his trustworthy companion.

[The addition must have changed his biological structure, Sir. Considering he was still in the womb of his mother; the structure must have molded itself for the candidate to survive.]

"So, a Dawrian mother, a human father, and another interesting addition. This is interesting indeed. What is the candidate suitable with?" the man observed before asking.

The screen again changed to something else showing details of something else.

"An inheritance huh! From there no less. Was there a breach I am oblivious of? Because the grade four doesn't seem to contain that power." The man questioned after his analysis.

[It was an evolution, Sir.]

The man went wide-eyed on this piece of information. "Add some support from us."

[We are already supporting him, Sir.] The voice argued.

"Oh please. That is standard support. Add support from me personally." The man ordered in return.

[Very well Sir.]

[What would you like me to implement additionally?]

"Implement the shop. Level 2" the man instructed.

[Are you sure Sir?]

[There are many things in the shop with which he could do more harm than good.] The voice advised against the man's decision.

"Don't worry, from his file it doesn't look like he would do anything of the sort. But you make a good point so add some failsafe just to be sure." Said the man not completely disregarding the opinion of the voice.

[Very well.]

[Would you like me to implement something else, Sir?]

"Yes. It seems the boy carries a curious and rebellious nature. Not the best combination. To placate him, allow the revelation of information on certain points of events." Replied the man.

[Very well Sir.]

"Let's see whether the boy disappoints us or not. If I remember correctly, the inheritance has a conscience, right?" Inquired the man.

[Yes Sir.]

"Haha. The boy has some tough days ahead. I can only hope he can pull through." Were the last words of the man.
