He gasped as he exited his room using the wall of the corridor to keep himself up. At that moment he could only register one thought in his mind, and he acted on it as if it was his only lifeline left.

Notification after notification kept appearing in his vision. His already hard journey to the room next to him became harder as he gasped even harder.

Even breathing was taxing at this point, and he felt like his consciousness was fading away rapidly.

The latest notification confirmed the fact that something was happening to him which was the cause of him feeling drowsy. His skin felt like it was being penetrated by thousands of needles. His mind was opposite as if someone had turned off the link between his mind and consciousness.

"Kevin!" He heard a voice just before he drowned in darkness but managed to utter a few words with pure willpower.

"Stay …. away." Was all he could manage to say in a barely inaudible voice which the owner of the voice obviously failed to hear.

"Kevin! What going on? Are you alright?" Said the source of the voice before it saw Kevin jumping at it.

"Next stop Vallenville City." He heard the mechanical voice that disrupted his chain of thoughts. He stood up collected his bags from under his seat and prepared to leave once the train stopped.

"Finally..." He said unenthusiastically. Anyone could tell that he was not particularly thrilled to reach his destination.

Soon the train came to a stop and as soon as the doors opened, he exited it and practically ran towards the platform exit. It more seemed like he was running from someone while running toward the exit.

He bumped into a few people earning some profanities from the people, but he did not care and kept running.

He finally reached the exit before any other passenger and presented his ticket to the checker who nodded after glancing at it briefly.

He again ran out of the station and looked around trying to spot something when he saw a black car in the parking and immediately crouched afraid to be seen by whoever was in it.

He looked around again and spotted a cab and made his way to it still in his bended state. He opened the cab and entered it startling the old driver sitting in the driving seat.

"What the …. Where did you come from?" he asked and the only reason he wasn't lashing out was because the intruder in his cab was a young boy. Possibly a teen.

"Shhhhh ..." he gestured to the cab driver and said, "Just drive to the cemetery. Hurry."

"What!?" Stunned, the old man asked.

"Just go. I'm a customer." He said waving a green bill to the old man while lying in the back seat. He was afraid to sit in fear of being spotted by the individual in the black car in the parking.

"..." the old taxi driver had a lot of questions but stayed quiet in the allure of the hundred-dollar bill in the young boy's hand.

"I don't know what is going on but sure. I will start the meter for you." The old taxi driver said to the young man.

"Don't turn on the cab signal. Just get me there and you can have this." The young man told the driver while sliding the bill in his hand over to him. He was not going to take any chances. If the signal on the cab was on the people who had come for him might check it in his search.

"Are you sure?" asked the old driver. "The cemetery is only a few miles away. At most 10 bucks." He wanted to confirm. The cemetery was not far from the station just like the train station at the corner of the city. It was a very small drive, and the young man was giving a lot of money for it.

He wanted to make sure there was no sketchy business going on. The last thing he wanted was to be an accomplice in a terrorist attack.

"Look what you are worrying over is not going to happen." He could tell what the old man was thinking and continued, "Just get me out of here and to the cemetery."

The old man just sighed and started the engine but turned off the taxi signal on the top of his cab.

His taxi made its way out of the station and onto the highway.

Once on the highway, the young man finally sat upright in his seat. He was looking at the view out of the window, looking at the city across the grassy plains.

Three tall buildings stood in the middle of the city surrounded by many smaller buildings and a vast city around them. It was an amazing view and even an amazing city with everything the boy wanted but alas the city had more sad memories for him than good ones.

The good ones were not enough of a reason for him to be thrilled about returning.

"Amazing, isn't it? The second biggest city in the whole of the federation. Just last year a project of a new power plant attracted even more people rivaling it with Strasburg city. It won't be long before we overtake it for the number one spot."

The old man started rambling about the city but failed to notice that the boy was least interested in it.

"The super rookie who just enlisted in the military is from this city. You must have heard of her haven't you, Sarah Callaghan." The old man continued to ramble.

Sarah Callaghan. A name the young man was familiar with, but he didn't mull on it for very long as the old man continued.

"This is the city of the new generation of the federation I say." Said the old man.

"A city arseholes is more like it." Mumbled the young man in a barely inaudible voice.

"What was that?" the old man couldn't quite catch on what the young man had said.

"Nothing." That was all that came as a reply.

"You returning home after a vacation?" The old man continued moving from his previous topic.

"This is not my home." Said the young man in reply.
