Lunch

Chapter 6

Entering the kitchen, Kevin could see Samantha setting up the table and Elizabeth helping her. The prepared dishes were more than ten and it was no less than a feast.

Samantha was dressed in a shirt and long pants which were tight around her legs and hips accentuating her amazing and generous hips. Even her loose shirt was tight around her chest area courtesy of her gigantic chest.

An apron to top it off and she looked breathtaking in every manner. Enough to rouse the dead if she uses her body and incite them.

Elizabeth was no less beautiful but in her own way. Smaller breasts and a perky butt, no doubt perky though he never had a chance to check them himself.

Dressed in a blue t-shirt and a short skirt showing her milky white legs and arms, she was showing her beauty in different ways.

Both Samantha and Elizabeth were carbon copies. Same blonde hair, round eyes, cute nose, and milky white skin. The only difference was that Samantha had dark brown eyes while Elizabeth had blue eyes, which Kevin suspected she inherited from her biological father.

It was a breathtaking sight even for a stoic person like Kevin and he had to take a moment to calm his beating heart which despite his efforts to calm it down was only beating faster and faster.

He soon shook himself out of his mesmerized state and moved towards the counter to help set the dishes.

It was ironic that such a big house had no servants. It was not like they had no servants, they had them just they were not allowed to come inside the house. The only servant who was an exception was the old butler Gerard who took orders from no one other than the head of the house who was Kevin's father.

The servants were only allowed to enter the house for menial chores otherwise the Derek family motto was that a person should do everything themselves.

The table was eventually set and all three of them sat on the table. Samantha and Elizabeth were on one side while Kevin took his seat opposite Samantha.

"So Kevin how was Riverview City?" Asked Elizabeth while eating.

Kevin took a moment to answer, "Hot. It was burning I tell you."

"Well duh, it is surrounded by a desert. What I want to know is what did you do there?" Samantha uttered back upon hearing Kevin's response.

"Nothing much. I helped my uncle out with his job in the mornings and sometimes at night. Sometimes at both. The rest of the time was pretty much me time. It was hella boring that's all I can say." Came Kevin's response with a little truth and a little lie.

"tell me about yourself. How was life here?" he asked before Elizabeth could dig more. Fortunately, Elizabeth wasn't smart enough to realize Kevin's trick and replied, "It was lackluster without you."

"Training, training, and training. It's worse than in the military believe me. Oh on that note, I just received my third ability last month."

"Oh really. Congratulations then." Kevin replied genuinely happy for Elizabeth.

"Huhu. You better be nice to me otherwise I will kick your ass." Elizabeth said smugly.

"And when have I ever been not nice to you?" Kevin argues with his eyebrow raised.

"Oh, it's just a warning dear Kevin. Not to take me too lightly." Elizabeth replied in a cute tone that contrasted with her words.

"Oh trust me. I have never taken you lightly. Definitely not your brains." Kevin replied in a sarcastic tone which made Elizabeth pout her lips cutely.

"It is so nice to have you back Kevin. I missed you two bickering like this." Samantha said with a smile on her face.

"Trust me. The last thing I want to say is it's good to be back but thank goodness the reason for that is not here so I can say that honestly." Kevin also expressed his happiness in a roundabout way.

The three of them continued eating while talking about various subjects when after some time Kevin noticed that Elizabeth wanted to say something but was refraining.

"What is it? You look like you have something on your mind." Kevin asked Elizabeth with his keen not missing even a simple change in Elizabeth's expression.

"Well, you see …. I don't want to say anything which might be an unpleasant topic for you." Elizabeth explained her reluctance.

"You want to talk about my father?" Kevin asked.

"No!" Elizabeth replied back. To which Kevin nodded and replied, "Well then whatever you have to say won't be unpleasant for me."

"Okay then, won't you give arcane ritual a try one more time before going to the academy," Elizabeth asked to which Samantha frowned.

Samantha knew that Kevin didn't like talking about this and his displeasure was known to everyone. She was worried that Kevin would not like it this time either. Which was why she was surprised at Kevin's reply.

"Sure. If it makes you happy then I am willing to give it another try." Kevin said with a smile on his face and his reply brought an even brighter smile on Elizabeth's face.

"Oh my god. Thank you …. Thank you … thank you." Elizabeth said happily while jumping up and down on her seat.

However, Samantha was worried about Kevin's reply. She knew if anyone else had said the same thing to him, he would not have given a positive response. The fact that he was willing to do so for Elizabeth was worrying for her in a different way.

"Any girls in Riverview City you are sad to part with Kevin?" inquired Samantha.

"Nope. Never had the time to." He replied back and then asked Elizabeth this time but with a little hesitation and fear in his tone which Samantha didn't miss, "What about you Liz? Any boy I shouldn't hit when I see them near your window pipe."

"Like I said training, training and training. I have no time for that. Steven is pestering me about it but I don't like him. He's too annoying." Elizabeth answered which somewhat relieved Kevin which again Samantha didn't miss.

"Any plans about girls Kevin?" Asked Samantha out of the blue.

"I doubt any girl would be interested in me." Kevin downplayed his looks. It wasn't like Kevin was extraordinarily handsome but he was not bad looking that girls wouldn't pay attention to him.

A scoff came from Elizabeth who reminded Kevin, "Hello! Have you forgotten about Sarah?"

Samantha didn't miss this detail and asked for further explanation, "What about Sarah?"

"Sarah confessed to him two years ago, a month ago he left. And this heartless man refused her." Elizabeth said dramatically.

"Oh come on, I doubt she even remembers me, and I didn't refuse, I just didn't know what to say," Kevin said to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth only Rolled her eyes which clearly meant that he had no idea while Samantha didn't miss this detail and made sure to see it in depth.
