Ch 81: Looking into it [pt2]

Once Kerin was gone, it was also time for Meria to make nighttime rounds.

Now that he thinks back about it, Meria has ignored a lot of responsibilities that he should have overseen because he was too busy.

Much of it had been pushed back from petrol duties to looking into stuff because Meria had been busy with the Saintess.

Thinking about that made Meria feel guilty, but he knew what to do to make it up to the people he had let down.

"General Meria, do you need any help?"

The guard stationed outside his room asked, and Meria shook his head.

"No, I do not need anything. I am heading out to make my rounds as well. Do you want to tag along with me?"

The guard looked as if he was in an awkward position and opened his mouth to stop Meria.

But since Meria was a general, the guard had no right to stop him from doing anything.

Ultimately, the ultimately and remained in his place.
