Ch 87: The unexpected outcome [pt1]

Kerin knew he was being teased but could still not shake off his mother's words.

How many times had he imagined himself and Meria marrying each other? It was too many times now.

The emperor looked at the general's face and was pleased to find it red.

"M-Marriage might be too soon. As you know, the emperor is still cursed, and w-we should focus on our current situation for now. A-Also, we came here to discuss the hunting festival, not our future marriage."

It warned Kerin's heart when Meria did not deny the thought of marriage outright as he would have usually done.

It meant that marriage was a possibility in the future that Meria considered.

"You are right! We are getting off-topic. But understand that it is because I want you as my official son-in-law sooner rather than later. You will make a far better company than my idiotic son."

The queen assured, and those words snubbed Kerin.
