Caitlyn struggles to fit in and be unique. A freshman at college ready to start a new chapter in her life, away from the pressure of her family. The last thing on her mind now that she's in college was dating, not with the situationship she's in.

Going back to school after a few years at home, Caitlyn felt on edge but not any less excited about going to school, nothing could bring her down from her school-high, especially not her feeling like things are about to change, not exactly bad but not real good either. The voice in her head had been there all her life and was very much pessimistic as she was, so it was easy to dismiss it's derogatory words, and sum it up to her nerves getting in her head. For once in her pretty lame life she felt optimistic.

       The Sunset series is the first book in the Sunset saga, it tells the story of a young woman who finds herself in a place far more different from what she's familiar with, how she struggled to fit in, the reckless life she lived, her  pain and the choices she made good and bad. It shows our flaws in wanting to adapt and be like everyone as well as being distinctive and unique while being like everyone and no one.The feeling of belonging we crave even if it's from the wrong people, the actions we take and decisions we couldn't care less about or think are the perfect choice that ruins us. The Sunset Series

It was a new week and I was determined to show up at school instead of staying holed up in my room all day binge watching kdrama and reading romance novels, it had been great while it lasted. 


I couldn't decide on what to put on and had randomly selected anything and went along with it, while praying internally that I wasn't about to ruin my first day at school. 


I was very anxious about going to school and had almost called it off before changing my mind. 


I locked the door, plugged in my earbuds and instead of taking the elevator opted for the stairs to stall a little bit. 


I stood outside the school entrance, trying to calm down my nerves before taking my first step inside the school. I've been to the school before once or twice I can't recall but that does not count. This was my first time as an admitted student of the school.
