Dion's Suspicions

Ever since the night she met Azael, Jillian would quietly sneak out of her room and go to Azael's tower to learn magic from him. After making sure Dion was asleep while carrying a basket of sweets, Jillian would come to see her Master.

She helped clean up Azael's tower and started doing small magical arts like lifting things without touching them and so on. Although it was very difficult for Jillian because she had no talent for magic. But she never gave up doing it.

Slowly Dion became suspicious of Jillian's behavior, who sometimes slept during the day and at night the blanket always covered her head. Dion did not check what was under the blanket, thinking Jillian would think he wanted to do things with her while sleeping.

"I don't remember you having a bracelet like that," Dion said when he saw that Jillian had been wearing a blue-eyed bracelet lately.

"Hmn? Yes, I rarely wear it. Do you always notice what I wear? It's weird to say you know," Jillian replied.

"Not really, it's just that I feel like I just saw it. Oh... Or was it a gift from your secret lover, huh?"

Hearing Dion's teasing, Jillian turned to the man. "Yes, it's a gift from my affair partner because my own husband never gave me a bracelet."

Since the beginning of their marriage, he had never bought Jillian jewelry since he and Jillian had no feelings for each other.

"I'll buy that chain for your neck,"

"Huh? You think I'm a beast that needs to be chained up?"

"Yeah, pretty much..." Dion replied.

Jillian squinted her eyes at her annoying husband.

Actually, the bracelet was a gift from Azael so that Jillian could pass through the maze to the tower easily. So she wouldn't get lost when she came there.

"Anyway... Where did you go last night? I saw you leave your room last night," Dion asked.

"Huh? I got some fresh air last night. That's all."

"What took you so long? You even came back when it was almost morning."

"You're waiting for me? It's none of your business, how long can I stay out, right?"

"That's true. But don't hang around like that every night. What will they think if they see you like that? The Crown Princess sneaks out every night, does she intend to meet her secret lover?"

The woman knew that sooner or later, her sneaking would be discovered one day, but she would still try to hide it from Dion. Even though she knew Dion wouldn't say anything about it to anyone, she still couldn't tell him that she went to see the royal wizard.

"Never mind, I'm tired. I want to sleep."

"You can't sleep now, someone is coming to the palace and we have to accompany them," Dion said, getting up from his seat and opening the closet.

"Huh? Who? No wonder the servants are so busy this morning."

Dion said a royal member from the neighboring kingdom intended to come for a visit. So Ferid, the emperor, wanted the two of them to accompany the princess today while her parents talked to Ferid.

"Can't it be just you? Or with Theo?"

"You think this is a normal friend meeting? They're royalty too. We should welcome them properly," Dion said.

"Hmn... Well, I'll tidy myself up first," Jillian replied.

She knew that her role as Crown Princess was important for this. But if she didn't sleep for a while, she would be exhausted later that night. Tonight was the night she had to visit Azael.

That afternoon, as Dion said, a family from the neighboring kingdom came to visit their kingdom. They were from the Kingdom of Hanselavia. A large kingdom that produced the most wheat, which made their kingdom rich because the wheat they produced was bought by many kingdoms that lacked wheat.

Dion and Jillian welcomed them. Jillian took Dion's arm and saluted them.

"Welcome to the Kingdom of Keinheart, Your Majesty. We are pleased to have you here," Jillian said gracefully.

"Crown Princess of Keinheart Kingdom, you look even more beautiful. We first saw you at your wedding a year ago," praised the queen.

"Thank you for your compliments, Your Majesty."

They apparently brought their twin daughters who looked very beautiful. Two green-haired twin daughters with beautiful magenta eyes. Unfortunately they looked so arrogant when asked to salute Dion and Jillian.

"Saluting them? What's the point? We're guests here, we should be welcomed," said one of them.

"Right! We don't need to do anything like that to them. It's enough that they do."

Dion and Jillian were silent for a moment at their words before exchanging glances and then looking at them again.

"Forgive them, they are too young to understand what they should do," said the queen.

'So young? They're even adults!' protested Dion and Jillian in their minds when she heard that.

But the two just smiled and said they understood. They also invited the two twin princesses, Hillary and Kylie, to have tea together. Dion had to accompany his father to talk to the leader of the Hanselavia Kingdom, leaving Jillian with the twin princesses.

'Why do I have to be stuck with these two...' Jillian thought.

"Please drink the tea. This is our most famous royal plum tea. It tastes very good," Jillian told them.

"It looks just like normal tea, nothing special..." Hillary commented.

"Right, if it was just ordinary tea, we'd drink it every day too..." added Kylie.

Jillian widened her smile, refraining from saying more. She knew that the tea looked like normal tea, but it was the smell and taste that made it special.

'The two of them haven't even tried it yet but have already commented on it,'

"So... How was your journey to come here? Did you find anything interesting?" the woman asked.

"Nothing, it was boring. Too far and too tiring,"

"Nothing interesting at all, too many commoners to be seen. An eyesore."

Again Jillian could only smile listening to her. She wanted to protest, but she couldn't. She inhaled and exhaled slowly.

Trying to calm herself down from their annoying remarks. Even so, she couldn't blame them, she knew that people's feelings and perspectives on things must be different.

Jillian picked up her teacup and sipped on it, calming herself down.

"There you are," said a man who had just arrived.

The three turned their heads and found a black-haired man with bloodshot eyes, wearing an official princely outfit.

"Oh Theo, you came here,"

"Yes, father asked me to accompany you. I'm sorry I'm late, I'm Theodore Alrix Keinheart, the twin brother of the Crown Prince," Theodore introduced himself.

Seeing Theodore, Hillary and Kylie immediately approached the man.

"No problem, we're glad you want to accompany us. My name is Hillary and this is my twin sister, Kylie. We have something in common: we're twins," Hillary said.

"True, although you look much different from the Crown Prince. You are very handsome," said Kylie.

Jillian, who saw their attitudes change dramatically, could only remain silent while thinking that it was better for Theodore to accompany them than her.

"Haa... Ladies."
