The Annoying Guest

Jillian could only remain silent as the two twins were busy admiring her brother-in-law's good looks. A tall, dark-haired man with red eyes, just like the Emperor. The two girls smiled listening to Theodore's story when he trained his troops at their request.

"Wow Prince Theodore, you're really great. You're tall, handsome and also very strong," Hillary praised while playing with her hair.

"That's right, I was impressed when I heard that. You're so amazing," Kylie praised.

"Oh thank you," Theodore replied with a rather flat face.

Theodore rarely smiled, unlike Dion who could still fake a smile, Theodore was not as expressive as his twin brother.

'They seem so happy since Theo is here, even though I've been trying to engage them in conversation but they're so ignorant of me,' Jillian complained, watching the two princesses visiting their kingdom.

Now it was like she didn't even exist as they were busy admiring Theodore.

Noticing Jillian's expression, Theodore turned to his sister-in-law.

"Princess Jillian," he called out. In front of outsiders, he would indeed be more formal than usual who always called Jillian by her given name.

"Yes, Prince Theodore?"

"Did you introduce our kingdom to them? Can you help me do that?" asked Theodore.

Hearing that, Jillian nodded in understanding. Together with Theodore, she told the twin princesses who were visiting them about their kingdom.

Actually, Hillary and Kylie had asked about it only for Theodore to explain it to them himself, they were not interested in knowing at all. However, they didn't know that he was actually asking Jillian to help him explain about the Keinheart Kingdom.

Theodore deliberately did it to make Jillian feel comfortable too, since she had been silent and felt that she didn't need to be there. That's why Theodore invited her to talk.

Their conversation continued until lunch. It was because the members of the Hanselavia Kingdom were visiting, so they ate lunch together with the others.

"So how was your tea? Was it fun?" the Hanselavia Queen asked her twin daughters.

"Yes, fun... Very nice," they replied, glancing at Theodore who was sitting quite far away from them because the table was so long and their family was at the other end.

Dion who saw that immediately approached his wife's ear and whispered about what they were doing. Jillian replied that Theodore was joining them for tea, Hillary and Kylie seemed to really like Theodore.

"Oh I see, no wonder, he's always attracting attention," Dion whispered.

"Yes, he's like a woman magnet I guess. I'm even attracted to him," Jillian replied.

"You what?" Dion turned to his wife.

"What's wrong, Dion?" asked Ferid to his eldest son when he saw a surprised Dion turn to Jillian.

The blond-haired man just shook his head. "Nothing, Your Majesty. It's just that my wife is feeling exhausted from lack of sleep," Dion replied looking for an excuse.

'It's always me he makes excuses for,' Jillian thought.

"Oh right, it's been almost a year since Prince Dion and Princess Jillian got married, haven't you thought about your offspring?" asked Queen Hanselavia.

Both Dion and Jillian were equally surprised to hear the question.

"I understand you are still young, but isn't that when you are most eager to have children? Usually at a young age it would be easy to have children," continued the Queen.

Ferid who realized it immediately turned to Dion and Jillian. Even after one year, the two of them had not yet had children.

Obviously they didn't have children yet, not even to sleep in the same bed. That's why the two of them have never touched each other or made love.

"We still want to spend time together. Getting closer to each other, our marriage was something that was planned. That's why my husband and I want to get to know each other first," Jillian answered calmly and took Dion's hand on the table.

"We want our child to be born filled with love and affection from both of us. We've been working on that lately, so I..." she continued with an embarrassed smile.

"Oh I see, that's good then. I'm sure with your young souls, you can have many healthy and cute offspring," said the Hanselavia Queen.

Dion and Jillian could only nod in agreement. Despite the fact that until now, the feeling of love has not yet emerged between the two of them.

Maybe the two of them had begun to get along as friends even though they still fought a lot, but as for love, Jillian didn't know whether Dion thought about it that far or not.

However, sooner or later they would have to make offspring or Ferid would get suspicious and find out their secret of never sleeping in the same bed.

After lunch, they went to their respective rooms to rest. Dion and Jillian sat on their respective beds thinking about what had been discussed.

"Lian," Dion called.

The woman with silver-purple hair turned to her husband who called her name.

"I think we should do it. Sooner or later, father will get suspicious if we don't have children by then," she said.

"But are you sure you want to do it? I mean... This must be a first for both of us. Do you want to just let it go, make love to someone you don't love?" Jillian asked.

Dion was silent for a moment as Jillian's question had a point. Making love is something that is usually done by someone who loves each other, even though it rarely happens, but it will be more fun if it is with someone who is loved.

The romantic atmosphere together, the love and desire to have each other. Something that many people want.

"I know, but we can no longer use the word loved one. We're stuck together, Lian. You and me in this marriage. There's no other choice but for each other,"

"Yes, I understand." Jillian let out a long sigh.

At first, accepting this marriage on the condition of having to provide offspring was easy the first time she heard about it. But after she thought more clearly, without love and feelings in it, would it be happy?

Or was it just a compulsion that both of them would feel?

She didn't expect things to be so much harder than she thought and imagined. If she had known like this, she would have thought about it over and over again.

Both of them were silent, lost in their own thoughts. Thinking about the future of the two of them who had to have offspring soon.

"Should we try it tonight?"
