The next day
Ed woke up feeling uncomfortable because he couldn't sleep well last night due to his two bed mates, Wallace and Steven.
He was so annoyed because the two had their own bed but they wanted to share the same bed. The reason is the idiot Wallace wants the temperature of the room lowered so that Spheal would be comfortable. Steven asked him how they could sleep comfortably if the room is cold and then there's his idea that the three of us would sleep in the same bed.
Luckily Luvia berated Wallace's idiotic plan but this doesn't stop the two brats from sharing the same bed with him.
He looked at the two idiots beside him cuddled together, he remembered last night that the two guys wanted to hug him which he evaded and when the two fell asleep they were so energetic which annoyed him that he wanted to change bed but the two locked him with their feet.
'Why do I feel these two were really gay?'
Ed gets out of the bed and sees the door opened. It was Ralts who opened the door, he couldn't help but envy this brat sleeping with the beautiful Luvia. Maybe Luvia thought this brat was a she, as she took Ralts, Mawile, Zigzagoon, and Winona to their room.
'Even though Luvia here has a turquoise color hair, she looks like Juvia from fairy tail' Ed said in his mind as he remembered who Luvia looked like, no even if she doesn't have a look a like she's beautiful and compared to sleeping with the two chaotic idiots without a doubt he would choose the former.
Ed felt Ralts look at him so Ed look at Ralts too, then Ralts made a smirk.😏

Ed and the others watch the battle of the top 8. The battle is 3 vs 3 format and the pairing were Norman VS Prima, Benny vs Yuki, the trainer he didn't saw battle yesterday due to being in a different arena, Watson VS Raymond, and lastly Luther vs Maria.
The first one to battle was Watson and Raymond.
"Ladies and gentlemen now we will begin the first match of the top 8, they will be battling to become one of the top 4 in this tournament."
"Now coming from Mauville City, the genius inventor and electric type specialist, Wattson!"
"His rival, the one in the poll as one of the best contenders of this tournament, the psychic type specialist from Mossdeep city, Raymond!"
"Are both trainers ready? NOw call out your first pokemon"

Magneton's condensed three different types of energy, ice, fire, and electric but it collided with Claydol's Ancient power. But Magneton followed it up with super sonic hitting Claydol making the pokemon confused. Wattson ordered Magneton to use magnet bomb hitting the confused Claydol. Magneton continue to use Tri Attack and magnet bomb and finally knocking Claydol.
Raymond's next pokemon was his starter Blaziken who knocked Magneton with a sunny day and Flamethrower combo. Even though Raymond specialize in psychics, his starter is a torchic.
Wattson's next pokemon was Manectric with a static ability and due to Blaziken being a close combat pokemon it was paralyzed winning Wattson the round. But Raymond's next pokemon is Solrock and with the sunny day still in action it's Flamethrower and Solarbeam powered up defeating Manectric.
Wattson's last pokemon was Raichu but it was defeated when the match started as Solrock immediately used Hypnosis and followed up by Bulldoze and a Solar Beam which defeated Raichu who couldn't perform in the match.
After their match was Norman versus Prima. Prima's pokemon were mainly water type pokemon. And of course Norman was a normal type specialist.
Norman and Prima were on standby in the battlefield. Norman called out Furret while Prima called out Slowbro.
"Trainer ready"
"Battle begin"
With the referee's cue Norman and Prima called out an attack. Norman ordered Furret to use thunderbolt while Prima ordered Slowbro to use a water gun attack. The two attacks collided, dispersing the attacks. Seeing that long range will just lower the energy of Furret as the attack will just cancel out. So he ordered Furret to go for close combat. Furret dashed towards Slowbro with a quick attack.
When Furret was near Slowbro, Prima ordered Slowbro to use the counter attack. Norman wanted Furret to stop but due to its speed it hit Slowbro as Slowbro hit back with a punch. The punch caused Furret to knocking Furret until to the wall of the field.
"Furret is unable to battle"
Norman has a serious expression as he didn't expect that Furret will be out on one attack. He called out Slaking his strongest pokemon.
Slowbro
Type: Water/Psychic

Gender: Male
Aptitude: Silver III
Ability: Oblivious
Comparing the two, Slaking has more advantage in terms of level but Ed knows that there is one weakness Slaking have and that was his Truant ability.
The battle began, even with Slaking's big body it moved fast and he defeated Slowbro with one hit Thunder punch. Prima could only take back Slowbro as she knows that in this exchange, Slaking is close to being an Elite pokemon.
She called out her next pokemon and it was a Golduck and it has a mutation like Grandpa Yun's Blastoise. As most Golduck are pure water type pokemon even though they have strong psychic power.
Golduck

Ability: Damp
When the battle began, Prima ordered Golduck to use Hypnosis as she knew that Slaking's truant would take effect and Slaking would not move.
With this Slaking consciousness is going to dream land but before it fully falls down to sleep it uses a yawn attack which also hits Golduck.
Prima ordered Golduck to continue attacking using Low Sweep and hitting the arm that supported Slaking sleep, smacking Slaking's face to the ground. After that attack, Golduck also got affected by sleep status and getting drowsy and tipsy while Slaking rolled as it snored.
Prima who saw this immediately returned Golduck before Golduck would really be asleep. She calls out her last pokemon. It was a Gyarados.
Gyarados
Type: Water/Flying
Level: 44
Gender: Female
Aptitude: Gold
Ability: Intimidate
"Gyarados Hydro Pump!"
Gyarados hit Slaking with a powerful water attack. The attack hit Slaking but the pokemon continued to sleep and didn't move an inch except for its relaxed breathing.
"Slaking smack down!"
Norman ordered Slaking and the pokemon also woke up as it slapped the ground as a giant rock came out of the ground as Slaking took it and hurled it to Gyarados. Gyarados, who was stunned from its opponent's sudden awakening, didn't have time to react and was knocked to the ground.
"Continue Thunder Punch!" Full energy Slaking did a big jump and hit the falling Gyarados with a thunder punch. When Gyarados fell to the ground, large smoke rose up while Prima was shouting to Gyarados asking for it's condition, when the smoke cleared everyone saw Gyarados struggled roared but its head fell as it was unable to battle.
Prima couldn't help but clench her fist as the same as her Slowbro, her Gyarados was beaten immediately by Slaking. She could only call out Golduck again while Norman switched Slaking with Kangaskhan.
Kangaskhan

"Kanga, Sunny day" Kangaskhan threw a ball of light from its fist and hurled it to the sky as it brightened up the field.
"Golduck Low sweep!" Goldduck ran towards Kangaskhan but to bad it was not fast in land as it was fast in water. When Kangaskhan already finished Sunny day it attack Golduck with a mega punch head on. Golduck was hit and flew back and fell but when it stand up Kangaskhan already fired a Solarbeam to its direction. With its trainer's order it block the Solarbeam with hydropump but it could only help Golduck on evading due to water energy being weaken from the sunny day.
Norman instructed Kangaskhan to use Earthquake as the ground quake and Golduck lost its footing as Kangaskhan fired another shot of Solar Beam directly hitting Golduck.
"Golduck is unable to battle, Trainer Prima has lost all of her three pokemon. Trainer Norman wins the match"
With the referee's cue the crowd cheered for both of the trainers. After the battle of Prima and Norman, the next battle was between Benny and Yuki. The two trainers had a fierce battle until Yuki won barely. Lastly is the battle between Ruther and Maria and Maria won with her Arbok and Nidoqueen.
Ed couldn't help but be amazed as he could only watch the pokemon battle in the anime, but now he saw it in real life. He couldn't help but have mixed emotions. He didn't know if he was nervous due to how scary and destructive pokemons were or excited to be one of the trainers who could train their pokemon at a higher level.
The battle for the top 4 has come to an end as the battle for the top will be held tomorrow. Unlike in the games where you could just go to the pokemon center and your pokemon is immediately healed in real life they need time to rest even if their injury could be healed in an hour.

Ed wanted to go to the stall again to buy some stuff but was stopped by Luvia due to the elders calling them.
Elders told them that they're going back as the elders aside from grandma Talya and Yun, have a mission to lead the alliance police force to the upcoming raid on the Land Clan and also to the bases of Team Rocket in Hoenn that the alliance got from the Water Clan.
Hearing this the children were downcasted as they wanted to watch the tournament. Ed wants to watch the fight in full action but his grandparents told him that their relatives from Sinnoh are going to visit them tomorrow. Ed was confused for a moment then remembered the name of his relatives.
"Grandpa Jin and big sis?" He remembers that his cousin's name is Cynthia and has the same face with the Cynthia he knows in the pokemon games and anime albiet younger, that's why he thought he had a future champion cousin.
Then the elders saw the new poke
mon the kids have as they saw new pokemon with the children. Luvia saw that the elders wanted to inquire about the pokemon so she told them what happened.
