On a flying blimp, Ed and the elders were returning home and this time they're returning with additional people.
Wallace told Elder Vince that he would be conducting a study about a water pokemon pregnancy project so that he would visit Gyarados everyday and would pass his project to his school and master Juan if he came back. But he was denied by elder Vince.
His attention was shifted by elder Vince when he heard that Steven's aunt Nella, the present city gym leader of Rustboro, gave birth to a baby. So they want to visit to know about the baby.
Steven on the other hand was living in Rustboro City which was near Verdanturf just separated by Rusturf Mountain and forest. Winona was told by her elders to stay with her friends. Luvia was instructed by elder Vince to watch over her brother and cousin.

The blimp they are riding was the blimp of the resource director on the league.
When the league learned about the elders being grandmaster rank trainers they brainstormed a way to gain favor to the elders. Like Gina some the directors of the league know that the grandmaster rank Blastoise Grandpa Yun showed was the weakest pokemon on his main pokemon that others think that Blastoise was not part of his main team.
With the help of elder Vince, they learned that the two elders of Ed want to look to the pokemon the alliance found by the explorers. So they happily send all the pokemon so that the elders could choose.
They sent Dervish, director of the resources department who was present at that time to entertain the elders.
Ed forgot that the real objective of the elders was to look at the pokemon and pokemon eggs newly discovered by the alliance. If he didn't hear Dervish talking about the pokemon he would have forgotten about it.
Dervish told Grandma Talya and Grandpa Yun about the discovered pokemon and where they're found.
"This is the pokemon found in Alola's lush jungle. The people in Alola called them Bounsweet" Dervish told the elders about Bounsweet and the discovery of its evolution line.
Grandma Talya was piqued about the pokemon. Ed also saw it but he couldn't see the information of the pokemon due to not seeing the pokemon face to face. But Dervish didn't show any Bounsweet but he took out four incubators. He pointed to the egg with magenta colored with green on top.
"This is an egg found near the place where Bounsweet were found"
"Are you sure you guys don't want to scam us?" Grandpa Yun asked as pokemon egg that is discovered in the wild is hard to identify as you wouldn't know about the species of the pokemon.
"We are 70% sure sir but if you really want a Bounsweet we could give you one of the Bounsweet" Dervish answered as he couldn't help but have an imaginary sweat on his back. He pointed to the five pokeballs he showed when he was introducing Bounsweet.
Ed could confirm this is a Bounsweet from its color of the egg. But he isn't sure if it is really a Bounsweet as except for the aptitude he couldn't find anything.

Dervish continued as pointed to the second incubator. Ed saw and had a strong hunch that the egg was a Togetic due to its pattern being the same as Togetic.

"This egg was found in Mount Quena" Dervish word shocked the elders.
"Mount Quena, one of the highest mountains in Johto?"
"Yes ma'am"
"Did those explorers encounter trouble?"
"That they did, but they're still alive so it passed." Dervish said before pointing to the third egg.
"This is the pokemon egg found a year ago in a cave on one of the high mountains in Kalos. Researchers were curious about this egg because a year has passed but the egg still hasn't hatched but the egg is still alive." Dervish explained the origin of the egg.
"The researchers didn't give up on the egg as the egg was a diamond aptitude egg which when it hatched it had a great potential. You all know about the fog and that chaotic storm surrounding Kalos right?" He continued
"Are you talking about those regions that were unaccessible now because of the activation of the ultimate weapon?" Grandpa Yun asked as the former champion of Kalos he learned about the legends and the ancient past.
In the past there were two more big regions other than the seven big regions and six side regions like Orre and Lental. Alola was also part of the side region before but it was elevated into the core region.
"Yes sir" Dervish said as he added "They thought that this egg is connected to those regions that with these two reasons researchers and also other nobles were curious but all got no answer. They didn't give up as the egg still had a life force in it. Some also think that it was a child of the legendary Articuno"
Grandma Talya nodded as she could also feel the life aura of the egg. Ed was also curious so he assessed it with the system.

Ed was shocked when he saw the Soulless status of the egg and it's his first time seeing an egg with attributes.
'It wasn't Articuno's child as the type was different.' he silently said
Dervish introduced the last pokemon egg and Ed saw that the egg was white with red markings around it.
"This pokemon egg was found near the spear pillar in Mt. Coronet, the researchers almost disregarded the egg but they accidentally found it when one of the explorers tumbled and discovered the egg. What piqued the researchers is that they found that the egg is many years old and like the third egg it wasn't hatching. But different from the third one is that it only have small life-force and that everyone thinks it's dying. But when professor Rowan's little assistant accidentally put a ghost-gem near the egg, the egg absorbed it."

'Another soulless egg but this time it didn't show the type.'
"This pokemon is a ghost type then?" Grandma Talya said as she looked at the egg for a moment but sigh as this egg won't hatch what's the other use for them. She wants to gain pokemon for her family, not research it.

When Ed saw that the system issued a mission again he looked at it but he gained a headache as to how he could hatch those eggs. Even though the two eggs were alive they don't have a soul.
'Why is the mission of the system just created on the spot? Don't tell me if someone was meditating in a mountain for a year, the system would then create a mission connected to it'
'Well there is no punishment so I could just disregard it.'
The system has notified again.

Dervish saw Ed's face change from different emotions. Became nervous as he heard that dote their only grandchild and he was afraid that like those brat he faced before just to gain attention they would make a commotion even his own child was like that.
Ralts, who was beside Ed, looked at his owner as his owner's emotions were chaotic again. He also felt the emotion of the other people so he pulled Ed's shirt to return him to the present.
Ed was embarrassed when he saw everyone was staring at him.
"I'm sorry I was just distracted for a moment"
"Um.. Grandma, could we take these two pokemon eggs?" Ed points towards the two soulless pokemon eggs.
"You want these two pokemon eggs?" Grandma Talya asked as she was confused why her grandson chose those eggs.
"Yes, I felt a connection on them grandma"
"Sure then, Dervish tell them that we will take the two pokemon eggs" Grandma Talya said
"Oh, ma'am Talya the league told me that you could take as many as you want maam" Dervish said as he tried to curry favor.
"How about we take all the pokemon egg then?" Grandpa Yun jokes.
"You can sir, now let me show you the pokemons" Dervish smiled as the alliance chose to let go of these pokemon eggs because aside from the two silver eggs the other was just like a dead pokemon egg.
"We could also take all the pokemon here?" Grandpa Yun continued teasing
"About that sir, the top only told me that the all pokemon eggs were part of the gift as for the pokemon they told us that the kids could choose one pokemon each." Dervish explained to the group the instructions of his superiors.
"We can choose our pokemon?" Luvia asked because when she saw the cuteness of Bounsweet she wanted to have one.
"Yes, your elders asked us to give you a pokemon of your choice." Dervish answered her inquiry as he showed the pokemon for the children to choose.
First was two Bounsweet, a Pikachu, a Spinarak, and lastly a Ducklet. The others were curious about Ducklett as it was a rare pokemon here in Hoenn just like how a Winggul is rare to Unova in the present.
"Oh curious about Ducklett?" Dervish asked as he happily explain
"Ducklett is a water and flying type pokemon. Don't look at its Derpy appearance as Ducklett was one mischievous pokemon. Also its evolved form was a Swanna" Dervish showed a picture of Swanna which made the eyes of the three who were water or flying type trainers shone.
Wallace was looking at Swanna's picture with shining eyes. Winona was also interested in Ducklett.
Dervish calls out Ducklett and Ed looks at the blank innocent face of Ducklett.

Lastly he took out the last pokemon which is Pikachu. Dervish told them that Pikachu was quite wild and it was found with the pokemon egg in Mount Quena.
This Pikachu was so stubborn about protecting the egg that everyone thought that the egg was a Pikachu.
When Pikachu came out it look at everyone then its surroundings and saw the pokemon egg of Togepi safe it sigh before turning its attention back to the humans as it glare at them.

Ed rubbed his eyes as he was confused to what he saw. Then look again and this time he was really shocked. It was a Zeraora not a Pikachu! But what confused him is the sealed status as he couldn't help but wonder to the mystery of this world.
Dervish continued "This Pikachu was weird because unlike othe Pikachu it couldn't store any electricity on its body but use the electric energy on the surrounding. Researchers think that it was due to its ability but due to its character and its aptitude the researchers didn't bother about this little one anymore."
"So now please choose your pokemon."
"I want Ducklett!" Wallace immediately replied which received a glare from Winona.
"I want a Bounsweet" Luvia said as she took the Bounsweet with a Bronze aptitude. This made Wallace asked on why she didn't choose the one with better aptitude. But Luvia just smiled on her brother's question.
"Then I will take this one" Winona took the silver aptitude Bounsweet.
Then they look at Steven who look at them with confusion.
"That my grandpa told me not to choose a pokemon yet as the two pokemon I have now is hard to train."
"But it was rare to gain pokemon that you know its aptitude" Dervish said
"How about I exchange your slot with stones?" Ed asked Steven as he was thinking of taking most of it.
"A trade?" Steven confused to why Ed want to trade so that he could take new pokemon. Doesn't he already had five pokemons and add to the three new pokemon Mawile, Zigzagoon, and Zorua, under his care.
It's great if you have many pokemons but you couldn't take care of them simultaneously. As there are factors that could affect your pokemon growths and Ed was still a kid and not yet a trainer but to all children in here Ed has the most pokemon if you don't include Luvia.
"I will give you evolutionary stones and a rare mineral." Ed offer persuading his friend
"You have? Which evolutionary stone is it?" Steven eagerly asked, forget about reminding his little friend he is more curious to those stones.
"A blue stone with bubbles which is the water stone, a thunder stone, a fire stone, ah wait you like fossil right?" Ed said as he remembered that Steven also like fossil so he took out a fossil a fossil that look like have a hand.
Dervish who was part of the resource department was familiar with fossil so he took a look and saw that it was a Root fossil and its in a perfect condition.
"Where did you found this?" Steven asked Ed want to know where did he get it.
"Oh that I didn't found it, a friend of mine give it to me. The same for the evolutionary stones, wait let me take it out." Everyone saw Ed taking a box with four evolutionary stones in it.
"So is it a deal?" Ed asked
"Deal then" Steven happily took the item
Ed happily look at the two remaining pokemon. Zeraora, I mean Pikachu made a questioning look at Ed. ಠಿ_ಠ
Dervish think that Ed was on the lossing side and look at the elders. He saw that they are unfazed.
Dervish who has been doing business since the time he started until he got his present position sensed that the stones and fossil Ed give was just a small part of his collection.
The elders where confused on how many treasures Ed have and from the experience of the children being with Ed and the stories of Sonia. They conclude that Ed really is a treasure magnet.
