Itadori felt like he had acted foolishly.

When he thought Uro might have left the colony, he unconsciously let his guard down, allowing the reincarnated sorceress to get close enough to catch him off guard.

'I could've used Kogane to find out if she left the colony or not.'

But now, due to his slow reasoning, he had an injured arm that required medical attention. This was far from his initial plan. Though he knew he might take some damage, he hadn't intended to be pushed this far.

Of course, he could use a miracle to heal himself, but there was one crucial problem.

He didn't have control over the technique!

The miracles would only activate when his life was at risk. As long as he wasn't on the verge of receiving a fatal blow, he could keep accumulating injuries, and his technique wouldn't show the slightest sign of activation.

'I'm starting to regret devouring that idiot…' He huffed in frustration.

Fortunately, his arm wasn't injured badly enough to take him out of action, so as long as he avoided further damage, he could continue fighting without limitations.

As for Uro…

Focusing on the reincarnated sorceress, Yuji noticed her wary expression. Despite her surprise attack, she didn't seem comfortable around him. Smart, considering that after watching his fight against Ryu, it was clear that close combat was far from a viable option against him.

His dominance in the battle against Ryu was undeniable. After witnessing the fight between Yuta and Ryu, it was evident that the reincarnated sorcerer was highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Uro wasn't stupid. If that fool of a man could make her retreat in a direct fight, what chance did she have against the opponent who outclassed him in that regard?

And then there was that aura…

'He won't hesitate to kill.'

So unlike Yuta, the boy before her radiated a different feeling—a heavy aura that Uro had rarely seen in her past life.

The aura of a hunter.

Even a thousand years ago, that was rare.

And that was why she felt so exhilarated.

'An intriguing figure in this era… How could I let this opportunity slip by?' She smiled, her eyes filling with an unyielding resolve as cursed energy rippled around her.

The fight against Okkotsu had annoyed her, and the sorcerer's words had left her frustrated for most of the battle.

But this boy was clearly different—his aura said it all.

He wasn't here to preach.

"The motivations of you reincarnated sorcerers don't seem to vary much from one another."

Slightly surprised when he suddenly started talking, Uro narrowed her eyes. What is this? Was I wrong?

"Fun, the desire to fight, curiosity—it's always something like that…" Itadori didn't care as the woman frowned. "To be honest, I couldn't care less about any of it. Whether you live or die matters to me about as much as wearing mismatched socks."

He gave a faint smile, his intent leaking from his body as he took a step forward.

"But you have something I'm interested in, so I'd agree to resolve this peacefully if you'd just give me what I want."

"Huh?" Uro felt sweat gather on her forehead, stepping back as Itadori advanced.

That look… that aura, brimming with intent emanating from his body…

Could it be…

"I want one of your fingers."

"You desire my body?"

"…"

Silence fell as the two spoke simultaneously.

Itadori blinked slowly, seemingly pondering the question.

Meanwhile, Uro, who seemed momentarily lost, immediately frowned in irritation as she realized her mistake.

"…"

"Technically, yes," Yuji replied with a strange look, showing no embarrassment. "But more in the sense of cutting off one of your fingers."

Uro scoffed. She was a little flustered by her mistake, but when confronted with the sorcerer's true intent, she instantly shifted to an alert state.

She didn't know why this boy wanted one of her fingers, nor did she care. He would be mad to think she'd surrender part of her body so easily.

Besides, she wasn't here to settle things peacefully. She wanted a battle—a real fight that would push her past her limits.

Her answer was obvious!

"If you want it that much…" She flashed a toothy grin, her dark eyes brimming with battle lust as she leapt back. "Then come and take it!"

"…"

Itadori sighed. Of course, it wouldn't be that easy.

But hey! It was worth a try!

If she wanted a fight for it, he wouldn't hold back just because she was a beautiful and sexy woman… Actually, after the injury to his arm, he had no patience for another drawn-out battle like the one against Ryu.

He wanted to end this quickly.

"Fine." He shrugged, his eyes narrowing as his aura flared violently. "At least I gave you a chance."

Uro, who was about to ascend into the sky, refocused in shock as she sensed an immense surge of cursed energy.

'What is this?'

Boom!

She wondered, but as her eyes tried to locate her opponent, a powerful impact struck her stomach the moment he disappeared.

'Fast!'

She spat blood, her body sent hurtling back until it crashed into the hard wall of a building, collapsing the structure on top of her.

'And strong!' She writhed on the ground, clutching her stomach and gritting her teeth against the pain. 'My insides are wrecked from just that one blow!'

She felt blood rising in her throat, unable to stop it from spilling over her lips. The internal damage was severe, and if she didn't quickly heal herself with reverse cursed energy, it was certain she wouldn't last long.

"I need to heal…" she murmured between gasps.

!

"Is it over?"

But just as she was about to focus her energy on healing her insides, her eyes widened in terror as a shadow loomed over her broken form.

"Will you admit defeat now?"

Her bloodied teeth clenched tightly, and raising her head to glare at her opponent with irritation, she cried out in pain as Itadori grabbed her wrist, effortlessly lifting her off the ground, leaving her hanging in his grip.

"Even if you reincarnated out of a desire to fight or mere curiosity, you don't actually want to die, do you? After all, this is a second chance at life—a second chance to fix mistakes, maybe even make a name for yourself."

Uro growled as she found herself staring into Yuji's sharp eyes, but as she listened to his words, her gaze faltered momentarily.

"So, what's your answer, Takako Uro…"

Itadori's free hand rose, stopping close enough to her face for her to feel the intense heat radiating from his palm.

"Do you want to waste this chance to make a name for yourself? Are you willing to throw away this second chance at life?"

"..."

Uro froze, confronted by a question she had preferred to ignore since the moment she awakened in this new era.

'Is it worth dying a second time?'

In her first life, she was one of, if not the best assassin in the Fujiwara family's group of killers. She was loyal—so loyal that she didn't even care about living in the shadows for that family.

But one of the Fujiwara gave her a name, something unthinkable for an assassin like her, who was supposed to be nothing more than a tool. That only deepened her loyalty and made her utterly devoted.

Yet she, a devoted assassin, was betrayed—betrayed by those to whom she had sworn loyalty.

She was given a name but was unable to bring honor to it because her potential was crushed by the very people who named her.

Born in the shadows, and dying in the shadows, without the world ever knowing of her existence.

She didn't want that again…

She wanted to make a name for herself! She wanted to stand out, to show her true potential!

Her existence could not remain unknown to the world again! She refused!

Maybe…

Yuta's words came to her mind.

Maybe when she achieved that, she could even live for others…

"No…"

She knew the right answer.

In this battle, she had been outmatched.

But she still had so much to live for, so no matter how painful it was to accept…

She would admit defeat.

"You win."

"...?"

Itadori blinked in confusion, seeing her surrender so easily, his eyebrow raising in suspicion.

Whatever had gone through her mind during those thirty seconds must have been deeply reflective…

To be honest, he had been ready to slice her to pieces the moment she tried to attack him in response to his question, but that didn't seem to be the case.

This turned out to be simpler than expected…

"Riiight." He spoke in a still-skeptical tone, and letting the woman sit on the ground, he gathered a bit of cursed energy in his hand. "Since I won, I'll take my prize now."

Swoosh!

Uro, who was still struggling to heal from her internal injuries, jolted as a jolt of pain shot through her hand. Her eyes focused on the missing pinky finger, its wound scorched.

"Thanks for that." Holding the woman's severed finger in his hand, he swallowed it as if it were no big deal, prompting her to stare at him in shock. "What?"

'What?!'

Itadori smirked at her confused expression, shrugging as he stepped away from the rubble. "My technique lets me copy other techniques as long as I devour part of my target's body. Interesting, isn't it?"

"..."

Uro felt annoyed.

Running into two mimics in less than a week…

What luck she had…

She turned her focus to her finger, letting cursed energy concentrate on the fresh wound, only to be surprised when she couldn't regenerate the lost digit.

"It's no use. I consumed a part of your soul, so it's impossible to restore."

"..."

These modern sorcerers… Why were they all so infuriating?!

"Now that we've settled our issues, how about you address something that's been bothering me for a while…"

Uro's eyes narrowed, and despite her abdomen still aching, she stood and turned toward the boy on high alert.

"Put some clothes on. Are you some kind of exhibitionist woman?"
