If this was what Tengen meant by curses getting stronger by the second, then Itadori had to say that was a complete exaggeration!

With just one glance, he could tell this creature was even stronger than Jogo, and as much as he had defeated the fire curse, this was not a level he could take lightly.

He knew this world had to be vast, and there had to be unknown but powerful curses out there. After all, curses originated from negative emotions, and collective fear was the kind that could give birth to the most powerful curses.

There were fears that had lingered for millennia—legends like Skinwalkers, Wendigos, and the Boogeyman were just a few examples. It wasn't really that shocking that such a powerful curse could have stayed out of the Jujutsu society's radar.

Some of them even preferred to remain in the shadows, accumulating cursed energy leaking from humans. It was truly a method to increase one's own strength.

Of course, most curses, even sentient ones, didn't have the patience for that. They would naturally act as quickly as possible to cause chaos.

But those with enough patience… Those were likely walking calamities.

And that seemed to be the case with the massive curse in front of him.

Roar!

Itadori narrowed his eyes as the serpent roared, its breath hitting him with a frigid air that formed icy crusts on his arms and face—a clear sign of its cryokinetic powers.

"Ice, electricity, and water," he thought, noting the sparks of electricity flickering from the creature's eyes.

A curse with so many elemental powers was rare. When curses originated from fear of natural phenomena, they usually had related powers, differing little from their source.

So, it was clear the creature before him wasn't a simple curse born from natural disasters. If Itadori had to guess, he'd say the serpent was a legend.

Jormungandr, Naga, Kaliya, Boiúna—those were just a few names he could recall from his studies.

Legends that echoed for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Any of those creatures, if brought into this world through fear, would be powerful… and that was assuming they didn't already exist, considering there was a chance some of them were hidden away, accumulating cursed energy.

"Lucky me," his face filled with irritation as his body warmed up to rid itself of the icy crusts. "I didn't think I'd be fighting three times in a row. This is getting more dangerous by the minute."

He swung his arms, his expression hardening as cursed energy danced intensely around his fists.

"This curse is without a doubt the most dangerous one I've encountered so far." He kept his full attention on the curse, tracking its movements as its body seemed poised to strike. "I can't slip up, or I'll definitely end up dead."

He could feel the sheer power radiating from his current opponent. With a brief glance, Itadori could rank this curse above Jogo, but something told him the difference between the serpent and the pyrokinetic disaster was even greater than he imagined.

If that was the case, he was certainly in trouble.

"..!"

Itadori leaped to the side as a jet of water nearly struck him, his head turning to see the serpent's massive body hurtling toward him like a whip.

"I'd noticed before that it's fast in a straight line…" His eyes followed the curse's movement, irritation surfacing on his features as he realized its startling speed. "But attacking with this kind of quickness…"

Boom!

He tried to calculate a trajectory to evade, but the attack arrived before he could move, the serpent's massive body striking him with such force that it sent him flying to the top of a building.

"How over the top!"

Bam!

His body crashed into an apartment on the top floor, landing perfectly on a double bed.

"..." He blinked, his face showing a hint of pain as he felt the worsening condition of his already injured arms. "Looks like the world is doing everything it can to keep things balanced."

Crack!

He tried to get up but immediately fell back onto the mattress as the bed collapsed under the previous impact.

"And I guess it's trying to teach me a lesson in the process…" he muttered, stepping off the bed in one go and moving to the hole in the wall his body had made. "Well, it doesn't matter."

He wore a confident smile, his eyes lowering to see the massive serpent on the ground with its mouth open, an enormous amount of cursed energy concentrating in its throat as it seemed to prepare a blast.

"Whether it's the most powerful bastard of the Heian Era or the scariest mythical creature to ever exist, it doesn't matter one bit."

With those words, he felt Sukuna's irritation within his soul, but he didn't care as he continued watching the curse preparing its attack.

"Because I'm going to win."

!

His smile was confident, and it remained so even as a beam of pure cursed energy blazed toward his face, his eyes showing not a trace of the fear that would be evident on the face of most sorcerers.

No… The only thing his face displayed in this seemingly unfavorable situation was pure confidence.

Boom!

The attack devastated the building, completely disintegrating the upper apartments while compromising the structure itself.

An attack that, without a doubt, would kill most sorcerers and curses with a single hit. It should have been decisive…

So why did the enormous serpent keep staring at the building? Why did it have that look—strange on its bestial features—that said it wasn't over yet?

"..."

Well, that was because it wasn't over.

Leviathan might have looked like an irrational serpent, but in truth, it was a highly intelligent curse. It could gauge an opponent's strength and even devise strategies to combat them.

Its power was immense, and it was smart enough—a true calamity of nature.

And that was why the serpent could say with certainty that this attack wouldn't be enough to kill its current target.

It might have been just a hunch, but from what the curse had seen—and from the way Kenjaku spoke about this boy—it doubted a single attack would suffice.

After all, throughout millennia, it had rarely been wrong. Whether in its battle against one of the Fujiwara, its clash with Kenjaku, or now, in its fight against this young sorcerer.

It felt it wasn't wrong.

!

The serpent's glowing eyes widened when a trace of cursed energy darted toward it at high speed, its massive body twisting to strike its stealthy attacker.

"That was a dangerous attack!" But not feeling the impact, the curse turned to see Itadori, who had leaped to avoid the counterstrike, floating right in front of its face. "I could've died!"

"!" The curse went on high alert, opening its mouth to unleash a point-blank attack.

"Black Flash!"

Boom!

But before the serpent could gather cursed energy, the side of its face was struck with such force that it pushed its massive body back.

"You might be strong," Itadori began, cursed energy building in his hand as he touched the stunned curse's face. "But your huge body makes you a perfect target."

Leviathan felt the danger radiating from his touch, cursed energy rapidly amassing in its mouth as it prepared to attack with a beam of water.

"Cleave."

Caught off guard, an excruciating pain shot through its face from Itadori's touch. The curse pulsed cursed energy from its body in desperation, forcing Itadori away.

Roar!

The beast roared, its sharp fangs on display as the cuts burned across its face. The wounds were deep, seemingly reaching its skull but stopping short, likely due to Itadori's abrupt retreat.

"This is it." As for Itadori, still unaccustomed to manipulating the sky to remain airborne, he steadied himself as he assessed the enemy's condition.

He had intended to blow the curse's head to pieces, but in addition to its abnormal durability, the serpent had an immense amount of cursed energy that acted as a protective layer.

Still, it was enough to inflict severe damage. He could see that if he kept up the pressure, it would only be a matter of time before the curse fell. To prevent retaliation, he lunged forward, somewhat awkwardly, his fist charged with cursed energy…

Swish!

But just as he was about to reach the curse's face, his instincts kicked in, screaming at him to back off immediately.

Roar!

He did just that as the serpent suddenly roared, narrowly avoiding a surge of electricity that exploded from its body, devastating everything around it.

Itadori watched in awe but had no time to dwell on the attack's power as the massive serpent lashed toward him.

"Damn!"

Landing, he placed his hand on the ground, raising a thick wall of earth that slowed the attack just enough for him to dodge with a quick retreat.

"It's pissed!" He smiled nervously, his eyes tracking the curse's movements as it charged toward him like a raging beast. "I should've gone all out when I had the chance!"

He leaped to avoid the serpent's body, propelling himself into the air to dodge its fangs.

"Dismantle!"

He unleashed a slash, but the serpent avoided it with relative ease, flying at him with its body twisting and striking like a whip.

Bam!

But as its massive body struck, the curse was surprised to find Itadori gripping tightly to its tail.

"Gotcha!"

Roar!

He spread his slashes across the curse's body, but before he could deepen them, a powerful bolt of lightning struck him, sending him crashing to the ground.

"Can it direct them?" He knelt, glancing down at a large hole near his heart in his shirt. "It tried to aim for my heart…"

Itadori had been suspicious before, but now he was sure this was an intelligent curse. Perhaps not as much as Mahito and the others, but enough to understand and strategize.

His situation seemed to grow more dire by the second.

!

When a shadow loomed over him, Itadori, still recovering from the lightning, raised his head to see the massive serpent's body falling toward him.

Boom!

But leaping aside seconds before the attack landed, he watched the ground explode into pieces, narrowing his eyes as he quickly retaliated with a burst of flames that engulfed the enemy's body.

The sound of burning flesh echoed, but when the serpent dispersed the flames with a pulse of cursed energy, it didn't seem hurt beyond superficial damage.

"Aside from the cuts, this thing seems to absorb everything else." He realized. "I have to destroy it with a decisive blow or wear it down until I can cut through its bones."

Noticing the curse's wounds slowly healing, he frowned.

If he didn't finish this soon, he would be the one to tire. He might have the advantage for now, having landed more hits, but in a battle like this, the tide could turn in mere minutes.

Unlike the curse, Itadori's body wasn't made entirely of cursed energy. At some point, the exhaustion from his previous battles would catch up to him.

And when that moment came, it was certain he'd be torn apart by this beast.

!

The serpent opened its mouth, an enormous beam of cursed energy shooting toward Itadori like a bullet train.

But just as the attack seemed about to hit him, the scene distorted as he grasped the air itself, redirecting the beam around his body with a spin.

"Take it back!"

The serpent seemed startled by the maneuver and had no time to react as its own attack struck its face, pushing its massive head back.

"You think you're tough just because you're a giant beast!"

Itadori grinned confidently, placing his hands on the ground as two massive earthen hands formed near the stunned serpent, gripping its body tightly.

"How about facing someone your size?"

Cursed energy pulsed from Itadori's body as his hands came together, his smile widening.

If he continued with a direct confrontation, it was certain he'd wear out eventually. The best course of action was to level the playing field with an opponent that could match the serpent in size.

And so, Itadori decided the best move now was…

"Domain Expansion…"

To bring his wolf into the fight!

"Hunting Territory!"

Howl!
