Silverpeak University

In the midst of the candidate throng, Dobroslav and Xia stood side by side, anticipation escalating as they awaited the university masters' emergence to commence the enrolment process. On the outskirts, myriad duels unfurled, the unforgiving clashes leaving participants either maimed or lifeless. Yet, following Dobroslav's awe-inspiring display of strength and his steadfast defiance against potential reprisals from the Jian family, a palpable air of caution blanketed the surroundings, deterring any would-be challengers.

The Jian family, rivals of the Daemonhart clan, practiced sword techniques infused with fire magic. Led by a rank 94 expert, their clan head, they stood in contrast to the Daemonhart's who wielded shadow magic.

The atmosphere shattered as the grand university gates swung open, revealing the emergence of an enigmatic figure. Stepping out with deliberate grace, the figure exuded an air of mastery, surveying the scene of fallen bodies and the chaotic aftermath. His gaze briefly paused on Dobroslav, a silent exchange of understanding passing between them. The crowd, caught in a mix of anticipation and respect, ceased their activities, awaiting the guidance of this mysterious master. "Those who managed to survive until now have passed the first trial," he declared, instantly igniting waves of elation within the assembly, each heart inching closer to the coveted entry into the university.

"But, don't get carried away; more challenges are coming," he mused, his fingers absently tracing his beard. The elation that had bloomed moments ago was doused as if by a cold shower, a reminder of the arduous path ahead. An air of curiosity and trepidation hung palpably, each heart wondering about the nature of these forthcoming trials. The enigmatic master didn't prolong the suspense.

"My name is Mo Sheng, and I shall guide you through the second trial. Follow me, if you dare," he said, a dark glint hidden behind his eyes.

Beyond the outer gates of the university, a short walk led them to a seemingly unremarkable jade torii gate. However, upon closer inspection, faint spatial distortions could be detected around its edges. Mo Sheng halted and turned to the assembled candidates. "Crossing this gate will transport you to a pocket realm, a training ground for our initiates," he explained. "The rules are straightforward – each kill grants you a point, for killing someone of higher rank, you get an extra point, and killing those of lower rank does not give you any points." Mo Sheng paused, a sinister grin forming. "Once only 10 of you remain, the trial will conclude," he said, his words carrying an ominous tone. The crowd's shock was evident, given the sheer number of participants present.
