"More are yet to come. My private forces will meet up with Jace and hasten the process of weeding out the corrupt. While the rest of you should draft me flourishing economic blueprints for my territory. All sections must be thoroughly looked into, and a lavish plan to revitalize them must be detailed out."
Another pause was in between her words while she surveyed the room again. Her subordinates are already making some metal blueprints for the growth of the Saphila South region.
Elaine was satisfied with their reactions. She picked up from where she left off. "Bear in mind that I am aiming to be among the top ten regions within 15-20 years. The fund aspect... worry not? I have got it covered. The revitalization of the Saphila South region will be steady. We are to tackle section by section. From the industrial section to education... I need you all to do the thinking and come up with ideas on which section to tackle first."
Elaine shifted the mic back. She was done speaking. It was up to her subordinates to digest what they heard and ask their questions. She doesn't plan to hang around for long.
Jace was the first to speak. "My lady, do you have a plan for what needs to be done with the prisoners and the business empires?"
"Saphila has laws, right?"
Jace nods alongside the audience in the conference room.
"Deal with them as the laws stipulate." Elaine shrugged it off with a nonchalant attitude.
"But, my lady. Most of them had powerful forces and backgrounds. We will be inviting endless troubles." A female-looking intellectual dressed in a corporate suit laid the urgent problem on everyone's minds.
"I don't understand any of what you said earlier. Huh? So, having powerful forces and deep lineages gave them the audacity to act unruly on my turf. Nooo! I can't tolerate such nuisances in my territory. No matter who they are, the Saphila laws must reign supreme. Any slip up, and I will personally deal with such an idiot."
"I can't have chickens as my subordinates who chicken out at any threats. Toughen up. If they are stupid enough to seek my trouble, I will give them war. I am interested in the ransoms their affluent backgrounds will cough out to appease me."
Those present have vague blueprints for their new boss. She doesn't entertain threats. She will square off with her enemies at any given time. It is good. Having a fearless leader who won't back down on threats was a great start.
"I think we are done. Jace, I need those files sent to me within three days. I don't care how. Electronic or whatever methods you deem worthwhile. In three days, we will convey again. We will discuss the future of Saphila."
As she said this, she walked towards the exit door connecting to the podium. Apple went after her, along with two leaders of the future Nebula. There was something they had to personally deliver to her. It was a classified order from the previous boss. They knew he was now a vice boss. Their true boss is the young lady leaving through the backdoor.
...
Soon,
They arrived at the sitting room, which was playing the romance series. Elaine got herself a comfortable cushion and settled into it. The other two leaders. A man and a female. Both should be in their mid-twenties to late-twenties. They sat on the opposite cushion, meant to serve two individuals. Apple stood behind Elaine.
Elaine watched a bit of the thrilling romance series where both the heroine and protagonist were forced to miss the chance to meet again. All those redundant scenes were to prolong the series. She almost threw an object at the TV but later restrained herself.
She looked up at the two seated opposite her and said, "It took you guys long to arrive at Saphila."
"Yes, ma'am. We have to move most of our sophisticated tools, which are great at performing diverse jobs you may require in the future." The male replied.
"The assistant boss took us unaware." The female added some words.
"We will be working for a long time. Introduce yourselves?"
"Ann Boone. My lady." Ann replied to Elaine
"Cody Drake. My lady." Cody spoke after Ann was done.
"What were your previous positions?" Unexpectedly, Elaine questioned them both.
Ann was the first to answer her question: "I am the Head of Espionage and Chief Intelligence of the organization, ma'am."
Cody replied after her too, "I am the Assistant head assassin and instructor, ma'am."
"My job seemed to get easy. You will both keep your jobs." Elaine dragged Apple, standing behind her.
"This is Apple Bri. She is from the previous special force of the late Granny. They are the precious gift left by the late Granny. The two forces will merge together and form a secret organization. The organization will be called Nebula. There will be branches of the organization: the intelligence branch, whose jobs are to gather intelligence on everything happening in the Saphila South region and its neighbouring territories.
The assassination branch." She paused and took a brief look at the three humans. She resumed her words. "I won't elaborate on what the branch needed to do. Just keep in mind that all enemies of Saphila should not be privileged to see the next sun."
"Overall, this organization will be responsible for keeping Saphila extremely safe, and they are to respond to me alone. Other branches will fall through in the future."
Elaine seemed to have ended her talk. Or rather, a part of the ongoing series has captivated her. She watched for some good minutes before remembering she was with an audience. She straightened herself and replied, "It should be all for now."
"Boss, I was told to give you this tablet." Cody handed over a tablet that originally belonged to the demoted boss to Elaine.
Elaine knew at once that it was the specially made tablet that could connect to the group's special network.
Aha! This reminds her that Dean Travis will connect with her tonight. He should have made the necessary arrangements for the Nebula and Saphila enterprises.
Probably another bit of luck, and Utopia Law Firm might be hers. She was deep in thought when Apple nudged her back to reality. Apple was holding her business-encrypted new phone. She remembered receiving two encrypted phones this morning. One of the phones will be her business encrypted phone, which will be with her help for now until a new secretary is assigned to her.
The other encrypted phone was for personal use.
She looked up and saw the same encrypted phone, which was relegated to a business phone. She already knew who was on the line without seeing the cell number.
It was Dean Travis. He should have some lead on her task.
"Hey! Old man. It seems my task was hard. It took you till evening to get back to me."
"What gave you the notion that I am old? Please, I am in my prime with beauties on both sides."
Pfftt~
Everyone in the sitting room couldn't fathom the shamelessness of the old man. Ann and Cody never knew their previous boss had this side of him. It is practically new to them. It was an interesting find.
