Wisp

Kingstown the town of dreams. Also known as the mercenary capital of America. The town has a church with a retinue as well as a well known priest. It also has a Hunter headquarters. The town was their best choice in this situation. Even if both entities refuse to help there is still a small military base with a general rank martial arts commander.

The group of two arrived before the wall within thirty minutes. It was not easy, in fact it was back braking they needed to force their movements with magic. But what do you expect when running thirty miles?

A guard wearing the uniform of the national guild of defense walked up.

"What's the meaning of all this rushing?"

"Emer—gency with– in the thousand— mile ceremony." Wolf muttered between breaths.

The man screamed. "Get the captain."

"There is no time you have to let us in." Wisp demanded.

"No one is allowed in until my captain arrives."

"Call for my father. I need to tell him what transpired."

"And who's your father?" The guard mocked.

"Will Evergrand. I hate bringing that old bastard in. but my beloved needs his help."

"Your? Lift your helmet."

"That won't be necessary." A voice echoes in the room.

Its strong presents sent the guard to his knees grasping at his neck.

"Dad?"

"My dearest daughter, I can't tell you how happy I am to see you. Oh and I see you finally brought home a man. I couldn't be prouder."

A man dressed in the robes of a priest walked in, each of his steps were matched by guards. All of them wear expensive armor made out of titan grade monsters, on their chest rests an ox facing off against a rising crow. The symbol of the Livan church, the leading church in the world. With over sixty percent of the world population being some kind of believers. They are a religion of war symbolized by the crow, but they are also a religion of progress hence the ox. It is similar to what the hunters believe, after all their religion was a branch of Livan. The church's strength can't even be compared with a country. It would take the top three superpowers to match up to them.

"Daddy this is my boyfriend, Jonny the Night's Ghost."

"I've heard of him, what a catch."

"I…" Wolf knew he could not deny such a powerful man. Will is one of the three archbishops after all. "Am very happy to make your acquaintance."

"As am I, boy. Now what's the emergency?"

"Sir, a demonic being claiming to be a goddess has descended on the arena. There are some high ranking martial artists fighting them right now."

"Them?"

"Yes, I'm afraid some martial artist in the Lord and Grand King ranks have joined the side of the goddess."

"Daddy, I can confirm all the information, but." She winked at her dad.

"Yes I see, but for me to send aid I must ask something of you."

"What?"

"Take my daughter's hand in marriage."

"Are all of you basterds insane…" Wolf held his mouth. What he said just now is more than enough to get him killed. "Hundreds are gonna die if we dont rush."

But Wolf was just met with the same reply he gave Jewy.

"So?"

So this is how it felt getting asked such a question for someone you don't care for? To chase after true love or forever be confined to someone you don't even know yet. Strangely Wolf thought of just letting all those people die. What does it matter to him? They had it coming. It's not like they would do the same.

"I accept."
