Just a Demonstration?

"No, it's not necessary... I'm not here to cause trouble. When I heard that someone was teaching Miyagi-Do techniques in this Dojo, I wanted to know who it was, and it turns out it's you." Daniel smiled nervously, trying not to gain a new enemy amid all the issues he had with Cobra Kai and their ruthless tactics.

Chozen nodded slightly, looked at Daniel's attire, and said, "You're in a martial arts school, change into the uniform and join the class. There's still much to teach."

"I'm not here to teach or train; I just wanted to find out or address a question I had..." Daniel didn't expect to get involved with Chozen, fearing that past problems might resurface.

However, Chozen had a different response in mind. He said, "Mr. Victor, accompany Sensei LaRusso to the changing rooms and lend him a uniform to join our combat class."

"Yes, Sensei!" Victor felt excited to witness the subtle electric field between these two warriors, so he stood up and said, "This way, Mr. LaRusso!"

Daniel smiled helplessly, regretting coming during class time, but now that he was here, there was no turning back without learning more about Chozen, who seemed to have changed little.

As he was guided to the changing rooms, he saw numerous paintings, and one, in particular, caught his attention because he recognized the location where the painting had been done.

"That's a tournament in China. Dash, our number one warrior, won that tournament after breaking the pinkie finger on his left hand," Victor said, very excited about those memories.

Daniel nodded without saying anything and entered the changing rooms, where he quickly changed into a white uniform. After looking at himself in the mirror, he stepped out.

Victor, waiting outside, smiled and walked towards the training room where the entire class was waiting for them. When Daniel entered again, all the students were sitting around in silence. The atmosphere seemed very deliberate, which made Daniel uneasy, but he still walked towards Chozen, who was at his side.

"Now what do we do?" Daniel hesitated a bit before asking.

Chozen looked at him briefly and said, "A simulation combat."

Looking at all the students, Chozen took a step forward and said, "Many years ago, I had the opportunity to face Daniel LaRusso, not in the terms I would have wanted and in an dishonorable way. Still, following Mr. Miyagi's example, I've managed to improve by trying to follow his silhouette marked with the true principles of a man."

When everyone heard this, they admired Mr. Chozen for his changes. Everyone makes mistakes, and knowing that their great Sensei was no different, they respected him for exposing that part of his life that many others wish to forget.

Daniel LaRusso, who originally believed that Mr. Chozen hadn't changed at all, had some doubts. He didn't exactly know what had happened to him during all the years after their life-and-death duel, but it seemed that things weren't so simple.

"Now, as a celebration, Mr. LaRusso and I will face each other to give you a demonstration of the Karate we are teaching," Mr. Chozen said, walking towards the mat.

Daniel smiled at all those enthusiastic looks from the students eager to see two adults fight. He broke into a cold sweat when he saw Chozen's intense gaze and said, "Haha, I don't think it's a good idea to face each other in front of the students."

"You've defeated me once. What does it matter if we face each other in front of my students, who could even become your disciples?" Chozen asked as he positioned himself on the mat.

Daniel, who didn't want to fight Mr. Chozen again, finally accepted just for a mere practical demonstration. Walking towards the mat, he raised his guard and said, "I really don't know why you want to do this, but there's no turning back now."

"It doesn't matter."

Faced with Chozen's fierce attack, Daniel's expression suddenly turned serious. He immediately began to deflect the attacks, but after a few seconds of retreating, he received a strong blow that, although he covered it, was too painful.

After dodging a few more blows, Daniel took the lead and hit Chozen's shoulder, making him step back. "You still have that strength from years ago."

"Just a bit, let's continue!" Chozen said, instinctively smiling.

Watching the attacks again, Daniel stepped back and began to dodge the attacks while looking for a way to counter.

"Hoo!" All the students were dazzled by Mr. Daniel's attacks, who demonstrated superiority in combat.

But no one underestimated Chozen, because everyone knew he was playing during the fights, as he hadn't shown his true Karate skills during training.

Pum! Pum!

Losing the match again, Mr. Chozen adjusted his robe and said, "One last demonstration."

"It will be the last..." Daniel, who had lost his breath, sweated, and nodded, looked seriously at Chozen and attacked with straight punches.

This time, stepping back, Chozen raised his gaze again and smiled slightly. Daniel, in response to this provocation, advanced with a direct kick. But surprisingly, Chozen neither dodged nor retreated. Instead, he faced Daniel's attack head-on with a counter that left his opponent's muscles numb.

Pum!

The strong blow, which wasn't actually that strong, left Daniel helpless. In an instant, he felt how he completely lost the strength in his leg, and before he could recover, several blows landed on his arms and muscles.

Pum! Pum! Pum!

In an instant, all his muscles went numb, and Daniel, who hadn't even warmed up before the fight, fell to his knees in pain.

Chozen, who remained standing, looked at Daniel with a serious expression and grabbed his uniform. "There's something I didn't tell you; this is a fight to the death..."

"A duel to what?" Daniel looked at all his students, and seeing that they didn't react, he was left stunned.
