Live or Die

Chozen raised his hand, and Devon, who had walked to his side, handed him the hilt of a sword. Looking at Daniel with a cold gaze, he said, "Live or die, man."

Staring at the sharp edge of the sword, Daniel paled and said, "Wait, what are you doing?"

"I've waited a long time for this," Chozen said with an expression full of hatred, looking at Daniel intensely.

Daniel, unable to move, looked at the sword in terror. "Chozen, no..."

"Yaaa!" Chozen shouted as he brought the sword down towards Daniel's neck, who was as pale as paper.

But just as the blade was about to touch Daniel's body, the sword stopped, and Chozen, who returned the sword to Devon, touched Daniel's nose with two fingers.

"Oonk!"

Everyone who witnessed this planned prank, from the moment Daniel was taken to the changing rooms, looked at their Sensei, Mr. Chozen, and chuckled.

"Hahaha!" Chozen couldn't stop laughing at Daniel's terrified expression a moment ago.

Daniel, who stood up, didn't seem amused and said, "I'm glad, really glad that you're having fun at my expense."

"Oh, you should have seen your face!" Mr. Chozen said, still smiling.

Daniel, who knew everyone was in on this prank, waved his hands and asked, "What technique was that? My limbs were completely numb."

"Secret pressure points of Miyagi," Chozen said with a calmer expression. All seriousness had disappeared from his gaze, replaced by absolute tranquility.

Chozen, who saw Daniel's confusion, explained calmly, "If an enemy insists on war, then you take away their ability to wage it."

Daniel was surprised; he didn't expect this kind of Karate technique.

Chozen, knowing they would have a long conversation, looked at his students and said, "Miss Devon, take charge of the class."

"Yes, Sensei!" Devon said as she walked to the front. "Showdown, Derek against Elias!"

"Ya!"

Devon stood in front of the class and said, "You know the drill, three points to win."

While Daniel watched Mr. Chozen's class continue without his presence, he looked at him and asked, "Can you teach me this?"

"The pressure points? Of course, let's go to a quieter place." Chozen nodded and led Daniel to the back of the building where there was a large courtyard. Normally, students trained meditation techniques here, and others came to do their schoolwork.

Daniel, surprised by the place, saw the Koi fish pond and those massive Sakura trees. Then they walked to a double wooden seat, and both sat down. "This place is amazing..."

"I was also very surprised. This place is incredibly pleasant to spend the rest of the day just admiring. For a long time, I hadn't felt this way, but now I believe my destiny is to be a part of this place," Mr. Chozen said with a nostalgic look.

Listening to Chozen speak in this tone, Daniel's gaze focused on a Koi fish, and he asked, "Where do you live?"

"I have a house nearby, granted to me by young Dash, whom I am teaching temperament and inner control. I could see in his eyes that he was similar to me in a certain way, so I accepted to teach at this Dojo just to guide him in those matters," Chozen said with a faint smile.

Daniel nodded; it seemed that there were many more things involved in Chozen's visit, and asking too much might bother him.

"As time goes by... After our fight many years ago, I felt so ashamed of my actions towards you that I tried to take my own life, but my uncle Sato was the one who saved me."

Chozen showed a calm look, as if those bitter memories were now a much more bitter but fleeting taste. He said, "Over time, I became a better person and started running Miyagi-Do in Okinawa, teaching all of Mr. Miyagi's lessons, who is a man of great honor."

"I didn't know that fight had affected you so much..." Daniel's eyes recognized Chozen's change, and he said, "If it helps, I forgave you for everything from a long time ago."

"Thank you," Chozen nodded, inexplicably feeling a weight lifted off him, and he looked at Daniel gratefully. "This means a lot to me, really. By the way, I heard from the students that you have some kind of war with one of your former rivals."

Daniel smiled embarrassedly, explained his entire story with Cobra Kai, and said, "But what I avoid is confrontation. I need to teach true Karate without violence."

"That's very honorable. Remember, if you need help, you can call me anytime. Once I teach you the techniques you haven't learned from Mr. Miyagi, then you'll know where to find me."

Daniel nodded with a smile, knowing that Mr. Chozen had changed for the better, which actually lifted a burden off him.
