A Two-Point Penalty

"Are they only going to penalize him with two points?" Johnny exploded against the referees, who had only taken two of the three points Jake had obtained.

Johnny was arguing with the judges, who had overlooked this blow with serious infractions but without a direct disqualification, which they believed Jake deserved.

"This is absurd; how could they qualify that blow as valid and accidental when it's clear that he wants to hurt my student in the eyes?" Johnny couldn't tolerate this happening.

Jake Kim looked at everyone with a smile and repeatedly said, "It was accidental; it wasn't my intention to hurt him in the eyes."

"It's a common trick..." Dash knew this was common in gloveless fights.

When an eye strike occurs, it's up to the referee to stop the action and inspect the fighter. If the fighter cannot continue immediately and the injury seems serious, the referee will call the ringside doctor.

At that moment, the referee and the doctor have five minutes of discretion regarding the continuation of the fight. After five minutes, if the fighter is deemed unfit to continue, the fight is canceled. If the referee deems the eye strike intentional, a disqualification can be called. However, a decision of no contest due to an accidental foul is more typical.

So far, three minutes had passed, and Miguel seemed unable to open his eyes, also because he was bleeding and swelling.

"He won't be able to continue fighting; even if they win, it wouldn't mean anything more than reaching the semifinal," Dash thought as he stared at Jake, who still had a mocking smile.

Johnny was furious. He looked at Jake, and when he saw him smiling, he asked, "Are you mocking us?"

"Damn you, bastard, I'm going to teach you to respect your opponents."

Daniel stopped Johnny, who was about to step forward to fight Jake, but at the last moment, Dash approached and said, "I'll take care of him; I'll face him in the semifinals, so I'll finish him off."

Johnny stopped upon hearing this; his chances of winning this tournament had been halved. Right now, only Robby is left in the competition with Sam, and their advantages aren't many in terms of possibilities.

To be honest, Dash knew that Cheng would defeat Robby, so they would be out of the competition, but it wasn't bad to avenge a friend.

"Just finish him my way, mercilessly," Johnny said, patting Dash on the shoulder, who nodded.

Having no mercy against opponents was something he had been employing for a long time, so there was nothing to worry about. He would avenge a friend, finish off Jack, and incidentally win this tournament.

When he returned to Devon, he looked at her and said, "Let's avenge them; what do you say?"

"Since this happened, I can't say no to you now; let's do it." Devon nodded and then focused her attention.

The first two semifinals were decided; now the next fight was Cheng against Robby, but before that fight, Danny's battle against Dre was truly brutal.

Both not only raised the fights to a high level but also injured Danny's leg before he only won by the points made in the female fights.

But at this moment, Dre was superior in all aspects compared to Danny, who barely survived the fight with him.

The next fight was Robby against Cheng; the first five minutes of the fight were even until the resistance began to fail so much that Robby couldn't continue the fight.

When Cheng began to have the upper hand, he threw strong punches that connected one after another, resulting in a three-to-zero victory. The female fight wasn't much better, as it ended with a score of one to three points in favor of Cheng, who seemed very concerned about Dash's fight as he didn't stop giving him advice.

"Don't let him score a point; you have to be stronger and faster."

Dash nodded and said, "Don't worry, look, they've brought out the cup."

Everyone looked at the trophy, which was a golden scepter holding a puppet kicking towards the sky.

"Devon and Dash, please move to your positions," one of the tournament supervisors said.

Devon walked nervously next to Dash, who was checked, and seeing that he could continue fighting, everything was ready.

As the fight was about to begin, Dash turned to Devon and said, "Don't be scared if you see a little blood."

Devon furrowed her brows and said, "I won't let you hurt yourself more for this tournament."

"Don't, but let me finish him," Dash said, looking at Jake Kim, who was jumping on the platform.
