VIGOR: SEVENTY-SEVEN

ALEX POV

The thought of us being trapped crossed my mind. I have had suspicions that this would be the situation ever since I heard the message sent by Glias to the camp. Knowing the fact that they invited me to their headquarters, I was sure they had something prepared. Whatever it was, I'd only find out when I faced them.

I was on my way toward the main gate. Even though the plan was ruined, I'd still do my part — to confront Glias. The forest was dark, and only the light from the vehicle illuminated the path. It was rocky, so the vehicle I was driving moved vigorously.

As happy as I was earlier to ride a vehicle like this, it doubled when I drove it. I knew it was a little bit inappropriate to be satisfied in our current situation, but I couldn't help but smile. I dreamed of this before, and now I was doing it.
