VIGOR: SEVENTY-NINE

TRISHA POV

Gunshots echoed one after the other in the hallway where we were. Sky, Carlo, and Jerick managed to shoot dead five of Glias' subordinates, while Maica and I could do nothing but hide and dodge the flying bullets.

We were holding guns, but we didn't have the courage to fight. I gripped my weapon tightly, trying not to listen to the noise of their guns. I had never been this close to a gunfight before. And I didn't realize it would be this noisy and dangerous. Anytime you could get hit by a bullet if your body is too exposed. If not, you'll be deafened by the noise.

Luckily, the enemies were only in front of us, not behind us. Because if even one appeared behind us, we would surely be dead. But my tongue was cursed — a Glias operative emerged from the hallway behind us. Only Maica and I knew about his appearance because the others were busy shooting at the enemies in front.
