Surviving An Apocalypse

As we broke from our hug, I had a small tear sliding down my cheek. "You know, my whole life I've been sliding from one person to the next who didn't care about me. Some of them smiled. A small number of people meant those smiles, but they were still self centered."

I sighed as I bent my head back and looked at the cloudy sky. "I realized that life isn't all about focusing on oneself. It's important to have people that you can trust in- that you can invest in. People who make you really smile. People who have your back."
