Surviving An Apocalypse

My eyes snapped open as I stared at the blue hazy sky. I quickly picked myself off the ground and glanced around. Tim was at the top of the crater, keeping watch while Susan was near me. When she saw me open my eyes, she hurried over.

She was stooped down low next to me. I nodded to her and grinned. "It really didn't hurt all that much. But hold on one second, let me read this system message…"
