Eggies

The morning sun filters through the windows into the dining hall. It's crisp and clean and clear. Still early enough to count as morning and not mid-day or afternoon.

Likely May could have spent more time asleep than that, but I'm not about to force her to go back to bed when she insists she's not tired.

Like a pup she'll just collapse when she runs out of energy. I'll just have to be ready to catch her and then carry her somewhere safe, cozy, and quiet for her to doze off and rest in.

When the time comes, anyway.

Eliza sets a teapot and cups in the center of the table.

Roland pushes the sugar dish closer to her with a fond smile.

May peeks over the top of the table. Her hands hold the edge of the table and she stands on her tip-toes, wide eyes staring at the food and drink.

Talia puts a hand on her hip. "May, if you'd like to be served, you should go and sit in a chair at the table, mm?"
