Juvenile Kill

The sky soon dimmed down to a deep black, as clouds filled in to hide the stars and Tidemother above.

This left no space for the light to trickle down, this making it quite dark for Asher in the forest.

~CRACKLE~

The makeshift torch continued to burn in his hand and was already burned a quarter of the way.

'Should I just make another torch?' Asher wondered but did not seem to be sure of it.

While gathering the materials for the second torch wouldn't be too hard, it would just be a stopgap measure. Since it would burn out at the same rate.

Asher walked for a while and watched the torch reach the halfway point before deciding that he needed to make another.

"Before this burns out, I best make another." Asher muttered to himself and got to work.
