The information about a strong and talented individual like Prince Alastor was quite striking to Asher.

'They'll either be better than Prince Alastor, or worse than him.' Asher thought to himself.

"Though it's a shame that the talent of being a mage didn't bloom in him." Jon spoke. "If it did, he surely would have been the best mages of this generation." He added.

Hearing that, Asher's ears perked up.

"You mean others in the royal family have the Mage talent?" Asher asked.

"Of course!" Aria was the one to speak this time. "The best example of this is his majesty King Turin himself." She revealed.

This was not the first time Asher was hearing about the king, but he had never known that the King was a mage too. The people seldom talked about the king in the Crude Lands, and what little he heard was actually from the mouths of the guards.
