Shuffle Playlist: Champagne Problems by Taylor Swift.
''Now that I think about it, that's how their other family members died. I wanted to keep my brother in law's fortune so I decided to take care of the child, but she is so annoying and kept asking for her aunt. I used the money to gamble and lost everything.''
Vincent stood up. ''That's enough!''
''I've told you everything. Since you two are in a relationship, I suggest you get the most out of it. After all, with all that beauty, she will die very soon.'' Tim said and laughed.
''Does that sound funny to you?'' Vincent punched Tim in the face angrily and Lorenzo stepped him.
''You will kill him at this point.'' Lorenzo said and pulled Vincent back.
''Deal with him.'' Vincent said and went to sit down.
''Don't worry, I am an expect at deposing off waste.''
Back at the hotel.
''Darling, are you alright?'' Tia asked over the phone worriedly after Sabrina told her what happened.
''I'm fine. I just woke up from sleep.''
''Thank God, Vincent was around. That Tim is insufferable. After everything he did to you and Bia, he still has the guts to approach you.''
''How is Bia doing?'' Sabrina stood up from the bed and asked.
''She is fine. She went to bed a few minutes ago. She misses you. When will you be back?''
''Tomorrow night. Vincent said we will leave after he concludes his business tomorrow. Tia, let me tell you, he is quite nicer than I thought.''
''Really?''
''Yes. When I hugged him, it was a little awkward so I wanted to let go but he hugged me back and even patted my back gently. I couldn't hold back my tears. The memory of my parents and brother suddenly overwhelmed me and I couldn't stop crying. He was with me until I fell asleep before he left.''
''Darling, you two are progressing a little too fast. Do you like him?'' Tia asked.
''I… I don't know. In any case, he isn't bad. And he has a really nice smell. I wonder what cologne he uses.''
''Stop! Darling, you're doomed.''
''What? Why?''
''The moment you become curious about such things is when you start falling for him. Don't get caught by him.''
''Alright, I will be careful.'' Sabrina turned when she heard a knock on the door. ''Darling, there is someone at the door, let's talk later.''
''Alright, be careful.'' Tia said before hanging up.
Sabrina checked the intercom and saw Vincent. She giggled and brushed her hair back before opening the door. ''Mr. Maraj, good evening.''
Vincent looked at her and smiled. He walked into the room and Sabrina closed the door. She suddenly felt embarrassed about the hug they shared earlier on.
''I brought you something to eat. It's rice congee and some protein.'' Vincent's aura seemed to have changed a little. He seemed more relaxed and indulging in front of Sabrina and she noticed it. She felt that something had changed about him but she couldn't put her finger to it.
''You bought food for me? Thank you, I was thinking of going out to the restaurant to get something and eat. This smell nice…'' Sabrina sat across him at the couch and looked at the food he had opened for her.
''Eat while it's still hot.'' Vincent said and smiled awkwardly when their eyes met. He moved back and sat on the couch.
Sabrina nodded and picked up the plastic bowl and spoon to eat. As she ate, Vincent watched her. The truth was, there were a lot of questions in his head but he didn't know how to ask her. After all, this was a sensitive matter.
Vincent decided to play it by the ear and not talk about it. He wanted Sabrina to be the first to talk about it, but for now, there was something he wanted to do. He needed an excuse to bound her next to himself.
''Are you alright?'' Vincent asked and Sabrina looked up with a smile.
''Mr. Maraj, are you worried about me?'' Sabrina asked.
''I am asking as an investor and producer of the series you are about to start filming. If you're not fit to shoot, it will affect the production.''
Sabrina pouted her lips. ''I knew it. You are just worried about the resources you will be putting in. Well, you don't have to worry about me. I'm fine. I will make sure my private matters don't affect the entire crew's hard work.''
Vincent suddenly stretched his hand. He was tempted to pat Sabrina's head but when she looked at him, he immediately stood up and draped his hands inside his pockets. ''I'm going.''
''Are you leaving already?'' Sabrina asked.
''Why? Do you want me to stay here?''
''I thought you came to accompany me a little. I've slept for a few hours. I don't think I can sleep anytime soon unless after another few hours' time…'' Sabrina sighed. ''I'm still traumatized by what happened earlier on, I'm scared to be alone, but it's alright. I didn't come here to play in the first place. You are a busy man and won't spend your precious time with me. Aye, I am so pitiful…''
''Acting like an 18-year-old doesn't make you cute, Sabrina.''
Sabrina glared at Vincent. ''Can't you say something nice?'' She stood up and pushed him towards the door. ''You can leave. I don't mind being here alone.''
''Sabrina…'' Vincent held her hands and pushed her against the wall. Their bodies were just an inch apart as they stood close to each other. The air around them suddenly changed.
''Be a good girl and finish the food. I'm going to pick my laptop from my room. Wait for me.'' Vincent flashed a rare smile and patted Sabrina's head before going out.
After he closed the door, he let out a deep breath. He didn't know what came over him and he pushed Sabrina to the wall. But… it didn't feel bad been so close to her. Vincent chuckled and walked away.
Meanwhile, inside the room, Sabrina's legs gave in and she fell down to the floor and sat down. She couldn't figure out what just happened. It was as if she was hallucinating.
Sabrina's hand made its way to her chest and she felt her heartbeat rising. Her face became red.
''Do I really like him as Tia mentioned? Why is my heart beating so fast? Hold on!'' Sabrina stood up and shook her head. ''Why did he even do that? Why did he suddenly push me to the wall? Why did he touch my head? Why did he even… doesn't he know that his words could be misleading?''
''Be a good girl and finish the food. I'm going to pick my laptop from my room. Wait for me.''
Sabrina repeated Vincent's words and exclaimed. ''He said I should wait for him.'' She hurried back to finish the food.
After the meal, Sabrina applied a little makeup and changed into a Burberry beige vintage check tie waist shirt dress. After asserting that she looked beautiful, Sabrina smiled.
A few seconds later, she frowned at her image in the mirror. ''Isn't this too much? What if he thinks that I purposely dressed up because of him? This won't do. He might think that I am really trying to seduce him.''
Sabrina wiped the lipstick and makeup from her face. She applied a lip gloss to keep her lips moisturized and brushed her hair back neatly before going to sit on the couch. She picked her phone and heard a knock on the door.
Sabrina hurriedly went to open the door. She smiled awkwardly when she saw Vincent.
''Let's go.'' Vincent said to her. He had changed into a casual round neck polo shirt and black jeans.
''Huh? Go… go where?'' Sabrina asked.
''There is a live band playing at the garden. Let's go and have a look.''
''Hold on!'' Sabrina went back inside and picked the phone she had left on the table and returned to the door. She closed the door and removed her room card before following Vincent out.
As they walked out, Vincent slowed down and moved with Sabrina on the same pace. Sabrina kept stealing glances at him. She didn't realize how deadly handsome he was till now. Even casual clothes made him stand out. Everything about him seemed so perfect.
No wonder he has a lot of admirers. Which woman wouldn't want a man like Vincent Maraj, a man who was considered to be one of America's darlings.
Even though he rarely smiled, he could still set her heart ablaze with just a chuckle. She never thought she would be walking on the same path with Vincent. They were two people whose worlds were vastly apart. They had nothing in common.
But he suddenly entered into her world. No! She entered into his world and has selfishly claimed him without his knowledge. It's only been less than a month, three weeks exactly, since they first met, but she has fallen for him. She was really in love with him.
