Refining the truth

Alexa and her mother suddenly felt as though they'd lost some brain cells.

"Doesn't that make him a Clinton?" Alexa's mother questioned, feeling that Aiden must have made a mistake.

Aiden shook his head, "No. My grandfather was Clinton, and he only authorized my wife and me to bear his name. So, in other words, my wife and I are the only legit Clintons, and the others are Wilfreds." He smiled as though he didn't just throw a pack of confusion into their minds.

"Whatever you say, the Clinton Group, Clintons, and Wilfred, or whatever, are our enemies. We do not want anything to do with them." The woman reiterated.
