93. What are you doing here, Walter? 2

To say I was speechless would be an understatement, I was not expecting that, I did not see it coming and I was not the only one who seemed to have been caught off guard, Ntando was just as blindsided. We both looked at each other in confusion, I questioned if Ntando invited him out of guilt or to prove a point and avoid misunderstandings, but the look on his face told me he was wondering the same thing and we both subtly shook our heads. We then turned our attention back to Walter and I tried to keep a calm demeanor despite the storm of annoyance I was feeling inside,

"My home is not a gym and I don't believe Ntando brought his gym with him..."

It was as if my words were falling on deaf ears, he just pushed past us unbothered by my displeased look.

He threw his gym bag on the floor amongst our gym equipment, and he smirked, "I never said your house was a gym, but Ntando is my trainer, so I decided to make his job easy, he can train me the same time he's training you. Make his things easier, talk about hitting two birds with one stone...", at this point, his arrogance was oozing out on every single pore of his body.

As if his appearance wasn't a surprise enough, hearing that Ntando was his trainer put a stamp on it. I knew he had a membership at his gym but I didn't know he was his trainer. I instantly turned to Ntando and the guilt on his face confirmed Walter's arrogant statement, I sighed heavily and murmured, "Really?!"

Ntando cutely squinted his eyes and murmured back, "Sorry", I rolled my eyes back to Walter, "Still, my apartment is not a gym. Take him and go to his gym...I think it's-"

Ntando cut me off, "May I talk to you for a second?", and before I could even respond, I felt myself being pulled to the balcony by my wrist, "Hang on for a second Walter...we'll be back in a jiffy"

The moment he slid the balcony door shut behind him, he instantly reached for my shoulders, although his grip was gentle, I could see the desperation in his eyes, in a low voice, he spoke, "Thandie, don't let your emotions cloud your judgment, remember why you started this...Walter is like my big client, and I need your help with this-"

"Why didn't you tell me you were Walter's trainer?", I asked while frustratingly breaking free from his hands, and his face darkened with guilt,

"I would've said something if I had known earlier that you knew each other, but I literally just found out yesterday and it totally slipped my mind, I was very shocked..."

I sighed out, "Fair enough..", I couldn't blame him and he was right, but still, "Walter is not going to exercise in my house, I am sorry. If you cannot train us separately, please assign me to someone else, a woman preferably, or better yet, I can continue by myself. If you insist on being my trainer, then we need to make a new schedule or something...but there is absolutely no way I am letting that man roam in my apartment..."

Ntando closed the space between us again and this time, he gently took both my hands into his, but at that moment I heard the sliding door open, "Are you guys still talking? It's been over a jiffy...", although Walter's voice sounded calm, his eyes were shooting daggers at our hands causing Ntando to abruptly pull back from me.

"No, please give us a few moments,", Ntando said respectively which really angered me, why was he being respectful for real??

"Or you can leave, then your time won't be wasted, feel free to scoot out of here...", I said as bitterly as I could. I was annoyed that he pulled this behavior on me, he was the one who wanted to stay away in the first place, and judging by how pissed I was, it was evident that he still had an effect on me, and he knew it.

He chuckled, "No, I will wait...", he left without closing the door, making his message loud and clear, he was in the room, but since it was my place and I was feeling somehow, I just closed it as loud as I can, also making my statement, 'you are not welcome!'. But as I was turning my back on the door, I caught a glimpse of his smile, not just any smile, but that smile I fell in love with, I forgot how hypnotic it was, and at that moment, I felt my heart flutter. I remember staring for a second longer than I should have and my eyes met his brown eyes. His warm smile also lingered, if it weren't for Ntando calling my name, I would have drowned in him, hell I would have even smiled back.

"Thandie, please...we only have a few more sessions to go, you will be going home soon, so it will be done before you know it, you will not see him again. To be honest, Walter is one of my big clients and I have been kind of blowing him off lately, I owe him..."

"Yeah...but not here, this is not-", I said

"..a gym... I know, please do me this favor, I will owe you big time...and I will get you anything you want...please Thandie..."

I looked at Ntando and his puppy-dog eyes were genuinely pleading with me, he was winning me over. I couldn't resist anymore, besides, Ntando had already done a lot for me. His gym didn't even do house calls but he bent the rules for me, and he did it without expecting anything. The fact that he was even blowing off his clients just to help me out was amazing and selfless,

I smiled, "Well, I guess a few days won't hurt.."

His eyes instantly lit up with excitement, "Yes, I promise I will make sure he stays in his lane,"

It was cute that he thought he could control Walter, it was really a nice thought but the only person who can keep Walter in check is himself, "You owe me though..". I said jokingly and he jumped to hug me, we suddenly felt chills and we knew at that moment; Walter was staring at us.

We could feel his eyes coldly shooting at us through the glass, "I really wish your balcony windows were tinted...he is really staring..", Ntando said and I burst out laughing, this was the very same man who just promised to keep him in check, I found it amusing, "But you are still hugging me",

"I am frozen, I am scared to move a muscle, is like his eyes have some form of pow-"

"Are we going to start or what?", Walter's cold voice suddenly pierced behind us, and poor Ntando; he almost choked, and I let out a soft chuckle when he ran out of the balcony leaving me to fend for myself.

But the nice thing about the whole encounter was having my assumptions confirmed, I was now sure that Walter was jealous and his mistake was making it obvious to me. It was like handing me a loaded gun and I couldn't wait to use it.
