This Car Really Belongs to Olivia

After a lively dinner, it was getting late, and everyone planned to go home.

Olivia and Michael bid farewell to their elders, and as they sat in the car, they finally relaxed.

Softly extending her hand to encircle Michael's neck, Olivia kissed his cheek. "Honey, you're amazing. Renting a car managed to impress my parents!"

Although Michael had brought another luxury car today and talked about buying a spacious flat, Olivia didn't take it seriously. Having lived with Michael for a year, she was well aware of his financial situation. Luxurious cars and spacious flats were simply out of their budget, right?

"Do you think I rented it?" Michael looked at Olivia's clear and innocent eyes, feeling somewhat amused. "Do you think I'm pretending to buy you a spacious flat?"

"Hmph, your acting skills are good, but who am I?"

After casting a glance at Michael, Olivia started to inspect the car's interior. "Stop pretending, it's just the two of us here."

"Okay, fair enough."

Seeing Olivia's disbelief, Michael didn't insist. He smiled, fastened her seatbelt, and pressed the gas pedal. "Let's go home."

...

"Congratulations, Olivia! You and your boyfriend have finally tied the knot!"

"Quick, show us your ring!"

"When do you plan to have the wedding? We need to ask for leave!"

The next day, as Olivia entered the office, she was surrounded by her colleagues.

Olivia smiled openly, "We haven't thought about having the wedding yet. Let's wait a while, after all, we haven't bought a house!"

"Yeah, that's right. Buying a house and a car comes before getting married."

Nodding in agreement, the colleagues returned to their seats, chatting and working. The atmosphere in the office was quite good.

As the conversation flowed, it somehow shifted to the topic of cars.

One of the colleagues envied another, "Jenny, I heard your boyfriend got a new car again? The car he used to drive you to work this morning wasn't the same BMW as before, it was a Land Rover this time."

"Yes, my boyfriend loves cars. We have three cars at home, so he often switches between them!"

Seeing the envy in her colleagues' eyes, Jenny proudly tossed her long waves of hair. "What, jealous?"

"Of course, jealous. You don't know how hard it is for me to commute on the crowded subway every day. Several times, I've been late because I couldn't get on the subway."

"Sigh, when will I find a boyfriend as wealthy as yours!"

The colleagues sighed, and one of them even pinched Jenny's face, saying, "You're so lucky, not only are you beautiful, but your boyfriend is also so good. For us, the future is uncertain..."

"Haha, it tickles."

Freed from her colleagues' teasing, Jenny turned her attention to Olivia. "Olivia, if you're not buying a house for now, you can consider getting a commuter car. My boyfriend's family sells cars. If you decide to buy one, just let me know, and I'll ask him to check for any internal discounts. It could save you a lot!"

"Jenny, you're so kind. I'll definitely ask for a discount when I buy a car!"

"So, Jenny, your boyfriend's family works in car sales? No wonder you're so wealthy!"

"Jenny, does your boyfriend's brother have any eligible bachelor friends?"

While the office girls continued to discuss in the group, Olivia smiled and said, "Thanks, Jenny, but my boyfriend has already bought me a car. I just haven't received my driver's license yet. Once I get it, I can drive to work."

Even though Olivia said this calmly, there was a subtle hint of pride in her words.

Hearing this, the group of girls turned their attention back to Olivia. "Really? What kind of car is it?"

Pulling out her phone and showing them a picture, Olivia said, "A Porsche Cayenne."

"What?"

Since Olivia hadn't posted anything about buying a car on social media, her colleagues naturally assumed that even if she bought one, it would be an ordinary commuter car worth a few tens of thousands. After all, Olivia had often mentioned how ordinary her boyfriend was, and how could he afford a luxury car?

But who would have thought that Olivia would reveal a Porsche Cayenne!

This model was quite popular and had a high level of recognition. Even the girls in the office, who might not be car enthusiasts, knew that this car was not cheap, costing at least a few hundred thousand!

It was more expensive than the BMW and Land Rover driven by Jenny's boyfriend combined!

"Let me see... Oh my goodness, it's really a Porsche Cayenne!"

Excitement overcame the girls, and they crowded around Olivia, eager to see the pictures on her phone.

However, their excitement attracted the attention of the manager, who reprimanded them.

They returned to their seats obediently but couldn't resist forming a small group to continue discussing the matter in their chat group.

"Do you think Olivia really owns that Porsche Cayenne? I think it's fake. Why would she be so thrifty if her boyfriend is so wealthy?"

"I also don't think it's true. Is she just bragging?"

"It must be bragging. I checked the model of that car just now, it's the latest top-of-the-line version this year. The minimum cost is at least four hundred thousand. Regular families can't afford that even if they sell both kidneys!"

"Tsk tsk, so Olivia is also so vain..."

As they happily chatted in the group, Jenny, who had been lurking in the group, suddenly spoke up.

"You're all wrong, the car is really hers!"

Even though Jenny didn't believe Olivia's claim that her boyfriend had bought her such an expensive car, she thought Olivia might be exaggerating. However, just to confirm, she secretly took note of the license plate while looking at the pictures Olivia showed her. She sent the plate number to her boyfriend to check the owner's information.

The feedback confirmed that the car did indeed belong to Olivia!

Silence fell upon the group.

After a while, one person finally spoke up, suddenly asking, "Did you guys notice if the car is registered in Olivia's name?"

As soon as this question was raised, everyone exploded!

The difference between the car being in Olivia's name and in her boyfriend's name was significant. Someone like Jenny, for example, might have multiple cars owned by her boyfriend, but if they broke up, she wouldn't get anything!

However, if the car was registered in Olivia's name, even if they broke up, the car would still be hers!
