When Zue Ha started jumping between the wooden platforms, he had many options at his disposal; even an unlucky cultivator could advance without stepping on fake boards.

However, as he advanced, the probability of him stepping on a false platform increased. When he was halfway there, the probability of him encountering a false platform was one in three, and he had to jump several times, which increased this probability even more.

Finally, the probability of him falling into the abyss increased to fifty percent in the final stretch. Even if he was so lucky, it was impossible for Zue Ha to be able to guess which wooden boards were all correct. 

Su Login and Mu Sae had approached the crowd when Zue Ha was near the wooden wall. Despite all the commotion from the young cultivators, Su Login felt uncomfortable that Zue Ha's life depended on something as unstable as luck.
