" What then did you mean by you 'handled it'? How else did—" The more I spoke, the more I realized how stupid I sounded. I paused, pressing my lips together, I stopped myself from saying any more words filled with foolish assumptions.

"Go on." He encouraged me with a sly smirk plastered on his face. Leaning back on the headboard of my bed, he relaxed his body lazily with his gaze on me.

" What exactly did you do?" I asked him. Jumping into conclusions was embarrassing for me but I often found myself doing it without thinking.

" Why should I tell you when you already know it all." He said with sarcasm dripping from every word.

" Just tell me," I said before relaxing on the bed, beside him. " I shouldn't have just assumed the worst of you." I added, trying my best to say other words without saying 'I'm sorry'.

" Like I said earlier, you don't need to worry about it. I handled it." He shrugged.
