The others, now lying defeated and nursing their wounds, turned their attention to Dennis, their expressions morphing from hostility to bewilderment. The realization that they had engaged the wrong person in battle dawned on them all too late.

Dennis, pausing in his offensive, surveyed the scene before him. The adrenaline of combat slowly ebbed away, replaced by a cautious wariness.

"Enrique? Who the hell is that?" he questioned with a steady voice like he hadn't just taken down over ten men.

"We...we thought you were someone else," stammered one of the remaining attackers, his weapon now lowered in a gesture of peace.

"Someone we've been tracking. A mistake."

The air, heavy with the aftermath of the confrontation, was now tinged with a sense of awkward realization. Dennis, although still alert, relaxed his posture.

"Seems like it." He nodded.
