Messing the timeline

'SHIT. What do I do now, should I tell him the truth or should I lie and not change the timeline?' 

'I'm not going to repeat myself, who are you' Minato said as he pressed the kunai to his neck. 

'If I change the timeline what would happen to me? It would create a parallel timeline?' 

Suddenly Jiraiya realized that the world around him stops. Jiraiya looks around confused, he could only shake his head. When he hears a powerful voice. 

"Look what we have here, a mortal who wants to play with time." 

"Who are you, why are you here?" said Jiraiya warily. 

"I am the god of destiny, the one in charge of maintaining balance in the multiverse. I have come to let you know what will happen once you change the past." 

'Is he here to stop me from changing the timeline?'

 "No." 

'Can he read my mind?' 

"No, I can deduce what you think from your expression."

 I have not come to tell you the consequences of what you are about to do. 

Once you change the past the future of this timeline will be destroyed, you will not create a parallel timeline but everything that existed, exists and will exist will be erased from existence. In other words you will erase everything that exists in the future timeline and you will become an anomaly." 

"You mean everything that exists in my future will be erased, from my enemies to my family will be erased." 

"Yes, it will be as if you never existed all your family, friends, enemies and everything you have been through will only exist in your head. 

 Since you will not be erased because you are in the past you will become a temporal anomaly. 

 The guardian of time an existence that even I fear will hunt you down. 

Choose wisely Jiraiya, I will not prevent you from changing the past." 

 "Why do you tell me that, why would a god like you care about what happens to a mortal like me?" 

"There is no reason, your existence is interesting and I was bored. 

I will give you a few minutes to think, if you decide not to change the past I will send you back to the future and erase the memories of everyone who saw you." 

'If I change the past all the future will be erased. But why should I care? Should I let it all happen again? Should I let my grandparents die now that I can help them? Should I let my father have to live hated by everyone again. I have nothing to go back to.' 

"I have made my decision. I will change the future, I have nothing to go back to. This time everything will be different. If I have to be erased from existence so be it" Jiraiya said in a firm voice. 

"Hahahahaha good words kid, I like you. But the moment you start changing the timeline you will be detected by the guardian of time and he will come after you. You won't have time to make many changes." 

"How long would it take for the time keeper to come for me?" 

"It should take less than 5 minutes to arrive and 1 second to kill you." 

"What? I won't have time to make any changes," Jiraiya said angrily. 

"Calm down boy, since I liked your attitude I'll give you a gift, I'll keep it for 1 day so you'll have time to change everything you want. That's the most I can do, good luck kid." 

And with that the voice went away and time unfroze. 

"This is the last time I'm going to ask. Who are you?" Minato said again with a bit of irritation. 

"Minato what's going on? Who is he?" Said kushina while approaching 

"I'm Uzumaki Jiraiya, your grandson" Jiraiya said while smiling. 

"WHATEEE?" said Minato and Kushina at the same time in disbelief. 

After a few moments of surprise Kushina said: 

"I don't even have a son how am I going to have a grandson." 

"Although looking closely you look a lot like Minato" Kushina said as her gaze shifted from Minato to Jiraiya. 

"So you're saying you're from the future, how do you expect us to believe you? Minato said with narrowed eyes still holding the kunai in his throat. 

"I can show you" He said as his eyes turned white and veins stood out on his face. 

"This is the life your family is going to have if everything stays the same.

This is the reason why I am here, look at your destiny".
