He's a hitman, a hacker, a serpent slithering through the city's underbelly. Not a hero, not even close. The mafia's ghost in the machine, shadows his only companions.

Then, there's her. Bookish, buried in debt and dreams, juggling endless shifts and late-night study sessions. Sunflower yellow amidst the grimy alleys, oblivious to the danger lurking beneath her hopeful smile. "Plain," they call her, "basic." But her light, it's undeniable.

"What is wrong with him? Is he always that cranky or do I just piss him off? One minute he looks approachable, the next minute he's spitting fire," Lily said to herself, hitting her head gently on the staircase railing. She raised her head to look back at the room she had just left, then she sighed.

"What are you doing here, Lily?" The girl questioned herself. Why was she wasting her time in the mansion while her brother was rotting away in jail?

Lily crouched on her heels, with her arm wrapped round her leg, she stared blankly into space. "Fred..." The girl's voice trailed. She didn't have the leisure to enjoy a great mansion, where a robot cleans after her, and she tries to understand the cold master of the house. Her brother needed her the most at this point, but she didn't even know how to help him.
