"Lily, are you okay? You look pale," Maya asked, touching the girl's forehead.

Lily smiled dryly, packing her books in her bag as they were already done with their exams for that day. She had barely even noticed that the day was finally over.

"I'm fine," Lily replied with another deep sigh.

Maya twitched her lips, "This won't do. Let's go get something warm outside. Maybe the weather is just too cold for you." The girl dragged her friend up, and they walked out of the hall, meeting up with Victor on the way.

Reaching outside the gate, Victor turned to ask Maya in particular, "Do you think it's okay for us to leave the school without calling Ms. Havilah?" He asked worriedly.

"I called her, but her line isn't connecting. Lily is feeling down; we could just get warm noodles and beef soup quickly to refresh her," Maya suggested happily.
