Jeffrey and Shadow, who had arrived in the same car with Raven, turned to give each other a look, then they looked away, staying quiet as if they were not even there.

After crying for a minute and realizing just how dramatic and childish she looked at the moment, Lily buried her face in Raven's chest, refusing to say anything else.

Noticing that the girl was not talking again, Raven smoothed her hair with his large hands. "Puffin," he tried to raise her face, but Lily refused to lift her face.

Shadow cleared his throat, "Raven, we will go inside and wa-"

Shadow turned to look at Jeffrey, blinking his eyes. They had come for something very important after driving from a far distance.
