He's a hitman, a hacker, a serpent slithering through the city's underbelly. Not a hero, not even close. The mafia's ghost in the machine, shadows his only companions.

Raven could get the metallic taste of his own blood, as he allowed the men to hit him. His hands still felt numb and his body heavy but the iron bars and bats that hit him was nothing compared to the hurt he felt in his heart.

He wasn't able to go meet Lily, her anxious green eyes flashed in his mind. She would be waiting for him at the moment and he was here, unable to do anything.

Shadow and Jeffrey tried to fight the men off but soon they were overpowered and with Raven not fully engaged in the fight it was a difficult one for them.

"Raven, beg the foundation. That's the only way for you to survive." Old bat said, now looking worried. She had been okay, if she was held and tortured but she didn't expect for Raven to come for her and fall right into the trap they made.
