The next day, sunlight streamed through the wide windows of Raven's house, casting a warm glow on the breakfast table. Lily lingered over her juice, stealing glances at Raven across the table. He was engrossed in a news report playing on his phone, a frown creasing his brow.

"Everything alright?" she finally asked, breaking the silence.

Raven glanced up, his frown momentarily replaced by a smile for Lily. "Just some business stuff. Don't worry your pretty head about it." He reached across the table, taking a sip of his coffee before setting the mug down with a slight clink.

"You finished breakfast already?" Lily pointed at his empty plate.

"Had an early call from the hospital. I still have some things to handle, you know after the Mayor's incident." He smiled. "But enough about work. You ready for your first day as a home-schooled Amazonian princess?"
