MAMA BEAR'S PROTECTIVE INSTINCTS

[Music Recommendation: Running Out Of Roses ~ Alan Walker & Jamie Miller]

Maya touched the back of her head and groaned. The darkness that had engulfed her earlier was now replaced with a dull light from an oil lamp placed to the side. She sat up from the floor, and her first instinct was to touch her stomach to ensure her baby was safe. She felt a little sore at her back, but that was the only discomfort. Maya looked around the room; it was not somewhere familiar. She noticed she was not the only person in the room, but all she could see was a silhouette and nothing more.
