Chapter Twenty-Six

The salty seawater engulfed my body, leaving me breathless. Once I settled in, I quickly scanned the surroundings in search of Tyrone. Panic surged within me, and I felt a chill running down my spine.

"Ty! Ty!" I called out desperately, but there was no response. Tears welled up in my eyes. What if - no, no, that couldn't be. Nothing bad happened. Nothing.

"Boo!"

"Ahh!" I screamed as someone suddenly hugged me from behind.

"Are you okay? Worried, huh?" Tyrone asked, and I couldn't believe my eyes. I stared at him to confirm if it was really him.

"Ugh! Don't do that! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" I scolded him, playfully hitting his arm. He laughed, and to my surprise, there were other people laughing too. Rye and the others were hiding in a small cave, observing us.

"Cut!" Rye joked, as if we were shooting a movie. I rolled my eyes at their antics.
