Wonderland to Radiant Gardens part 2

"Terra!" Ventus called out to him, seeing him walk by. He ran towards him, leaving you trekking slowly behind. The effects were really starting to get to you. You stopped for a moment, trying to calm your breathing. You couldn't hear their conversation. You blinked, trying to regain focus. 'This is really, really bad...'

"Ven, what's wrong with (Y/n)?" You heard Terra say, sounding closer.

"I'm not sure, she said she would be fine..." Ventus replied.

You looked up at them both, giving them your best smile. "Hey Terra."

"(Y/n), what happened?" Terra held you up by your shoulders. You held back a blush at his warm hands. "Are you hurt?"

"No, just tired. I'm okay though!" You nodded.

"You don't seem ok at all, (Y/n)." He smiled sadly. You tried chuckling, only for it to come out as a grunt. He frowned a bit. Once you stood up straight, he let go of you then glanced at Ventus. "Ven, take her back to master Eraqus. I'm sure he can help her."

"Y-yeah..." Ven nodded with a frown. You smiled sadly. You understood he wanted to spend more time with Terra. You felt bad being a burden.

"You get some rest, (Y/n). You really don't look so good." Terra commented. You gave him a strained smile. 'How bad do I look?'

With a flash of light, Terra transformed into his armor and flew off to another world. You watched him go, when Ventus turned to you. "Come on, (Y/n)."

"Ventus, I'm fine. Just a little tired. We don't have to go back just yet." You reassured him. He seemed surprised, yet you pushed on. "If Terra's here, is Aqua here too?"

"Y-yeah! She may be back at the square!" Ventus smiled. His eyes still showed his concern for you. "But, let's take a break afterwards."

"Right." You nodded, pulling yourself together.

-X-

"Aqua!" Ventus called for her when you returned to the square. You stood back to catch your breath, feeling an ache in your heart. 'Ok, this is new... these side effects are coming hard...'

Aqua turned to you, noticing your tired state. "(Y/n)? What's wrong?"

You sighed, shaking your head. You looked up at her. "I'm just tired. Had a little run in with the unversed."

"You look like you're about to pass out." Aqua frowned, laying a hand on your shoulder to steady you. "You should get some rest, and take Ven home with you."

"Don't worry, I'm fine." You tried reassuring her. She stared at you in concern. 'Heck, even I don't believe myself at this point.'

Aqua soon left after flashing on her armor, leaving us sitting on the side. You convinced Ven you needed a brief moments rest, and sat with him on the ground. Ventus played with his wooden key-blade, going through his thoughts, as you did your best to rest. It was not working.

'The master never told me about any side effects of the healing art... So what's going on? Why am I feeling so weak? So tired?' You thought worriedly. Your eye lids felt heavy, it was hard to breath, and yet you felt an ache in your heart.

Ventus glanced at you, full worry on his face. "(Y/n), you're glowing!"

You looked down at yourself, raising a hand to your blurry view. You were indeed glowing. "So it seems." You dropped your hand, laying back on the wall. "Guess my time is up..."

"What?! Your time is up?! What do you mean?!" Ventus asked worriedly, tossing the wooden key-blade aside and moving closer to you.

You smiled sadly. "I don't mean I'm dying Ven. I mean I need to go back to my world for a bit."

Ventus let out a relieved sigh. He chuckled sheepishly. "The way you said it worried me!"

"Sorry about that." You let out a weak chuckle. Ventus stared as your form continued to glow to a bright light. You smiled at him. "I'll see you soon Ven."

Ventus nodded, holding your hand for a brief moment. "See you soon."

You noticed 2 figures walking by, recognizing their hair in an instant. 'Axel... Saix...?'

-X-

You reappeared in your room, falling flat against your bed. 'Thank you, key-blade...' You let out a sigh of relief, closing your eyes at the comfort of your sheets.

"Master (Y/n)!" Your Chirithy exclaimed. It stood by your head, feeling your forehead with its tiny paws. "You feel warm...!"

"That's normal?" You chuckled a bit. You opened your eyes slightly, smiling at it. "It's good to hear your voice Chirithy.

"I..." The cute creature blushed slightly. "I'm worried about you, master. That healing power... It took a lot out of you. It is forbidden to use it. Something bad could have happened if the unversed would've gotten to you!"

"I know..." You sighed, looking away. You knew it was wrong, but you felt you couldn't leave Ienzo in that state. You scowled towards the ceiling. "Even so, the master never said anything about these side effects."

"That's because... there aren't any side effects, master (Y/n)." Chirithy whispered.

You glanced at your Chirithy in surprise. "What? What do you mean? Why am I feeling this way then?"

You noticed Chirithy shiver, it's next words causing fear to course through you. "It's the key-blade, master. I think it's angry with you. The master said it has a mind of its own, but it has feelings as well."

"He never mentioned... feelings." You narrowed your brows in thought, trying to remember. You then summoned the key-blade, gasping at what you saw.

The key-blade once before holding a light beyond its own, now glowed red, with an ominous, dark cloud covering it. It's form changed, seeming more sharp and disoriented. You felt fear, rather than the hope and comfort you felt before. "What's wrong with my key-blade?!"

"Oh dear! When the master hears about this-!" Chirithy hugged your shoulders when you did your best to sit up. "Master! Put away the key-blade! I don't think it's a good idea to have it out!"

"Y-yeah-!" You stared in shock. How can a beautiful key-blade such as yours turn into this? You barely recognize it. The darkness around it was nothing compared to the darkness in the portals you traveled through. Was it so angry that it became like this? You began to panic a little when the blade glowed a brighter red. "What's happening?!"

"I think it wants to show you something-!" Chirithy said before your vision turned white.

You were standing before the clock tower, near the station, spotting Roxas knelling beside someone. You were about to call out to him, when you noticed the figure on the floor. "Xion?!" You gasped when she suddenly dissolved into small lights, disappearing completely in his arms, causing Roxas to tear.

"Roxas! Xion!" You tried running towards them, but your vision turned white once again.

This time, you were around the corner of your organization friends' favorite spot on the clock tower. You peaked around, finding Roxas and Axel eating some ice cream. You frowned, not noticing Xion there, when you noticed Roxas fading away as well, just like Xion did. "No! Wait!" You reached out to him again, spotting Axel tearing as well.

You didn't understand what was happening. What was happening with your friends? Why was the key-blade showing you these visions? Was it truly angry with you? Was it showing what could happen if you continued to interfere? Why was it hurting you like this?

The next, you were standing in the darkness, watching from afar as Sora knelt beside... Axel?!

You gasped, watching him too fade in bits of darkness. "Axel-! What's happening?! Why?!"

Again, your vision faded. You again appeared elsewhere, surprised to find yourself in the badlands. Your eyes widened at the dark tornado in the distance. You blinked when your vision zoomed closer, and you looked at the tornado more carefully. "Heartless..." You muttered under your breath.

You looked around, spotting aqua staring at the swirling heartless. "Aqua! Look out!" She didn't hear you, and you gasped when the heartless took her. You cried out when you noticed other friends as well, being taken by the darkness. Kairi, Ventus... You thought you noticed Axel as well. "Why? What is going on?!" You teared at the scene, as Sora and Riku stared helplessly at the heartless.

"Please stop! I don't want to see any more visions!" You held your ears, when your vision once again faded.

For a brief moment, you saw Xehanort, the older one, with Kairi before him. Your eyes widened when he attacked her, completely removing her from existence. You cried harder when she faded in her light. "Kairi!"

-X-

"(Y/n)! Wake up!" Someone shook you from your sleep. You abruptly sat up from your bed, gasping and breathing heavily. You blinked in surprise seeing all the fore-tellers, save luxu, in your room. "Wha...?"

"(Y/n), you seem to have had quite a nightmare..." Invi held your shoulder as you glanced around.

"Nightmare?" You repeated. Was it? You looked around, noticing your room was a bit different. You may have traveled back in time without realizing it, to before you began traveling. To before you received the key-blade. You held out your hand, realizing you couldn't summon the key-blade at all. "I..."

"The master has been wanting to speak with you all morning." Gula mentioned.

"You were here for a while, so we came to see how you were doing." Ava helped you off the bed. "I think the master is going to teach you that technique today!"

"Technique?" You blinked again.

"Yes, that healing ability you've pestered him about? The master finally gave in and decided to teach you I guess." Aced crossed his arms.

'What is going on?' You thought in confusion. Ira stared at you. "Are you ok, (Y/n)?"

You shook your head after a moment, then nodded to yourself. 'Seems like the key-blade wanted to warn me, then show me something important. It truly does have a mind of it's own. I most definitely don't understand it now.' You pulled on your masked hood, smiling at everyone. "I'll be ok, let's go visit the master."
