79 — A Welcoming Ceremony (3)

With a thud, Layla rose from her seat.

She felt sick at the sight of the nobles who used to roam around her like dogs, wagging their tails around Zahra.

With her tongue clicking, she rolled her eyes, walking towards the terrace. The terrace was meant to initiate: do not disturb. If someone entered the terrace, no one else was allowed to enter by the guards who stood not far from the entrance.

Although night had fallen, Layla looked at the vast area of her kingdom. It was beautiful; its golden sand covered the majority of the land, making it shine as if it were no less than gold while the roadways were asphalted, letting cars move around easily.

Most of the inhabitants of Averlyon didn't use cars because they mostly resided in the countryside. The majority of the population were farmers.
