Layla stared at the young man standing in front of her.
Only word came to her mind to describe him— shameless.
"Why are you glaring at me?" Zeref chucked, taking a seat on a chair close to Layla.
"Get out." She rolled her eyes.
"The ceremony will start soon. Why don't I escort you? I doubt you have one since… Prince Yuden is most likely to accompany your elder sister, Princess Zahra, right?"
The smile on Zeref's face as he spoke boiled Layla's blood. However, she couldn't act rashly. She needed to maintain her composure in front of everyone, including this man who enraged her.
"Sure. Suit yourself."
Layla stood from the chair on which she was seated and walked towards the exit of her room, followed by her servants and Lord Zeref.
Once they reached the corridor, Zeref extended his arm for Princess Layla to hold.
The princess forced a smile and wrapped her hand around the young man's muscular arm.
