Dawn kept thinking about the incident that happened and what kind of predator made the birds flee. As I was pulled out of my thinking, the bus drove past the gate before parking the bus next to the school. The bus grabbed the radio, and I used my enhanced hearing to listen to the bus driver say, "Hello, we've arrived at the school and had to escape a crisis. A pack of birds attacked the bus, and some of the students are panicking, but nobody is injured."
The radio responded back, "I'm glad to hear that everyone is alright. I will send someone to meet you, and I will be calling the police. Just have the students remain in their seats."
After the bus driver put the radio back into its place before turning towards us and told us to remain in our seats. There were several people—two men in suits and three people who looked like teachers—who came out of the doors, and the bus driver opened the door after seeing them. As they came closer, I saw one man in a suit that seemed suspicious. I don't know why, but he draws my attention. He wore an eagle ring on his left finger and had a gray suit on with black pants well.
He asked the bus driver, "Is everyone okay? I am a police officer and I heard about a incident that occurred. Please tell me what happened."
"I was passing the woods as usual when I picked up the last student when all the sudden mass of birds around fifty to sixty started flying towards us out of nowhere. Some of the birds just flew and smacked into the windows; they flew above us and right above us. I had to pull the bus to the side and tell all of the kids to lower their heads while putting their arms around their heads during the incident," said the bus driver.
They were listening to the bus driver and looked at some of the lingering blood from the frenzy birds on the outer windows. The guy with an eagle ring grabbed his notebook, wrote the information down, and told the bus driver to bring all of the students into the school cafeteria.
I heard that he wanted to call someone, so he went away for awhile. The man who claims to be the principle told us to follow him, and I learned his name is Gerald. As I got up from my seat and followed the crowd. I went down the bus and went inside the building. Some of the teachers started asking the students if they were injured and other questions. They wanted to call our parents.
I went to sit in one of the chairs close to the door and grabbed my ear plugs to listen to the music. The cop with an eagle ring opened the door and saw me. He was surprised to see me, so he smiles at me and asked me if I was okay.
I said, "Yeah, I'm good. Just listening to some music."
I can tell he was surprised by my response, then he nodded at me. He said, "The school will notify all of your parents and the rest of you will be going home."
I nodded my head as I watched him get up from the table and went to talk to the other teachers.
I saw my mom with other mothers and fathers who ran towards their children. My mom ran towards me and hugged me so tightly.
"It's so good to see you, okay. I had a call from the school saying birds were attacking the bus. What happened? Why do you keep getting into trouble when ever I see you?" said mom as she looks at my body after seeing I don't have any injuries.
The cop with an eagle ring was watching us and came to us. He explained to my mother what had happened. My mom shook his hand and smiled with relief, knowing no one was injured, despite what had happened.
I went out of the cafeteria and walked down stairs before passing the doors. My mom and I went to the dark red car.
As I opened the door to the car and got in the front seat. I keep thinking about the bird incident and wanted to go to the place where it happened. I saw that cop with an eagle ring was watching us leave behind the doors of the school.
