Unconscious

I was intrigued by his words, a story. Jonathan laughed gently as he knew that caught my attention.

Jonathan went to the desk next to the wall, where there was a coffee machine. He grabbed a plastic cup and put it under the coffee machine, where he pressed the button, which caused the dark coffee to come out into the cup.

There was a faint aroma scent across the room, where Jonathan added sugar and milk to the coffee before sitting down.

He placed the coffee next to him before getting comfortable in his chair. He placed his hands together in front of me as he looked into my eyes.

Then he said with a smile, "Yes, a story about the Egyptian coffin. "

I looked at him as he explained, "A 10-millennia years ago, there was an Egyptian pharaoh, named Adio, which means righteous. He was a fair and equal pharaoh, but he had to do terrible things to protect his people.

His people were attacked by an unknown creature that consumed everything in its path. It devoured humans and supernatural alike, everyone was in fear and despair because they didn't know a way to stop the creature--"

My eyebrows were raised at that, as he took a break and took a sip of the coffee before setting it down on the table.

"The pharaoh, Adio somehow figured out what the creature was, it was called Kamappa--"

Then he started coughing as he raised his arm toward his mouth, then he stopped coughing.

I looked at him, there was sweat on his forehead, his eyes looked dilated, his hands looked a little swollen, and he seemed to have trouble breathing.

I furrowed my eyebrows at the changes, and he grabbed one of the tissues out of the box and sneezed into it.

He looks up at me and sees the hidden worries in my eyes, he smiles, "Hey, don't worry, I'm fine. I've probably got a cold or something. Hey, why don't we talk next time when I'm feeling better?"

I nodded unsurely but replied, "Alright, you better get some rest, I'll be leaving."

I stood up as I felt the stiffness in my body from sitting for awhile and I saw him nodding his head.

Then I turned around as I walked closer to the door, and opened it gently, but it still made a soft cringy noise.

As I walked through the door and went into the hall, I heard the door shut with a soft bang behind me.

The hall was quiet and bright since the lights were on.

Then I heard a faint sound, the sound of a bang and I heard something shatter afterwards.

I turned around with a furrow on my brows as I knew that was in the office I just left.

A bad premonition fills me, like a rock that's sitting on my chest. Then I walked back to the office with urgency in my steps, although there was a part of me that felt like this was familiar like I had been in this scene before. I hated this feeling, like I'm forgetting something important. There's a fog in the back of my memories, which fills me with fear and dread, like thousand of finger picking at me. Still, I pushed those feelings aside.

As I pushed the door open, I saw Jonathan's body on the ground, not moving at all. There was a little blood on his hands. His hands were swollen, like a round bump.

There was the shattered cup and the spilled coffee next to him on the floor, although the cuff of his shirt was stained with coffee. I could see a little inhale out of his breath as his chest moved very faintly as if he was on the verge of death.
