“Let me go sit in the library.” Raquel muttered to Lady Liana. “Being stuck in this room is getting annoying.”
Her fever had broken an hour ago and she was sick of laying in bed. There was much to do but her lady-in-waiting was at her bedside making sure she didn’t move an inch.
Raquel knew she had overdone it yesterday when she let the curse go wild but she also hadn’t realized it would be that bad. It had never caused her to catch a magic fever as the doctor called it.
“You need rest, your highness.” Lady Liana sighed. “Everyone is worried about your health.”
That made Raquel pause for a moment. People being worried about her was unlikely. The last time someone had worried about her was when Nicole discovered Raquel doing something stupid but that didn’t count seeing as Nicole had been with her through thick and thin.
“Really?” Raquel murmured before she could stop herself.
