Princess Fania jolted up and slammed her hands on the coffee table in rage. “How dare you trick me like this?! You knew why I was here and decided to ignore my pleas and play me like a fool.”
“The only reason you’re a fool is because you didn’t see this coming.” Raquel growled back. “Did you really think royal guards would allow you to get into my office after you failed for two days straight? You got inside because I allowed it.”
“So, this was all a trick then?” Princess Fania chuckled crazily as she placed a hand on her head. “You were never planning on ending this marriage. This was all petty revenge.”
“It wasn’t just petty revenge. I allowed you here before Duke Quesh came to give you a chance to apologize.” Raquel explained in a bored tone. “Had you done so, I would’ve ended talks with Duke Quesh the moment he came by.”
“Is that it? You want an apology. Fine.” Princess Fania mock bowed. “I’m sorry, Masked Princess.”
